I was fighting Miasma with my sampire and a bard came by and joined. The discord made my hit damage go up greatly. I haven't fought dread horn yet so don't have a great perspective on template changes.

My question is would a template work that included discord to improve damage. I am thinking the discord would be a larger affect over anatomy. My bard and sampire are on separate accounts so I can't really easily try the template unless I go to the test shard.

I'm thinking the skills would be:
105 swords + 15 on my turquoise ring = 120
115 bushido
100 tactics
99 necro
61 chiv + 7 on my bracelet = 68
120 music
120 discord
------
720

I would remove 120 parry and 100 anatomy and drop bushido -5.

Is there any experienced sampire willing to try this out? Discord is a pain to raise and I didn't want to start something that someone already tried and doesn't work.

I checked this link and it shows DH and miasma could be discorded.

It could work, but in my opinion I think that 120 parry is nessisary since alot of the bushido spells are based off of parry. But if you did drop parry, I would take music to 115 and keep bushido at 120. The difference between 115 and 120 bushido for me was alot. Confidence works alot better with 120 from my experience. But that is an interesting idea, kind of makes me want to go to the test shard and try it out

How well does it work and do you think it is fun to try? Is the damage output much greater? Adding that much skill pts on my jewels would really mess my suit up and I would lose some combination of my 100 DI and my DCI/HCI. I guess I could put DI on my weapon.

I have a vamp discoarcher who works pretty well

120 archery
120 disco
120 music
100 tact
100 necro
95 resist
80 chiv

+15 resist on ring
thinking about raising tactics to 115 with 15skill on brace too, but it works pretty well atm.

The damage is about the same as my other vamp archer without any bard skills, but the disco lowers the monsters skills etc so they are less offencive.

I don't use her as a main attacker as I have a better set up on my main account who does the tanking. When she is beating something I roll with a staff so she gets 40SSI(wood enhanced), they have HLA and the stamina reduction from macing. Once the disco, HLA, 0 stamina and my main's HLD start working I can walk away from the screen and not worry about dieing .

I threw a quick one together with.

120 Swords, 90 Tactics, 120 Bushido, 120 Music, 120 Discord, 100 Necro, 50 Chiv.

70/70/70/70/70, 100 di, 40 lmc, 45 hci, 45 dci, 15 chiv, 10 tactics, 5 ssi, 5 kinetic eater, 25 hp, in vamp form

I wouldn't say the damage is any better because of no Anatomy, but you have a generally faster and easier time of hitting and being hit.

So far used it for Paroxysmus' and Medusa to go in with a friends sampire, they honor and tank, while I Discord and use the mastery's.

Never even did the mastery stuff. Dropping parry really doesnt make a dif with the disco. Once the boss is discoed from a 120, they really dont hit you much at all. I have had a musical sammy for well over a year ( right about the time imbuing came out and made him viable). When you can solo a baracoon spawn in 25 minutes, your doing something right.

Well I'm pretty satisfied that it works and sounds fun to me. I'll go ahead and put in the time to make one at least for stoning if not permanent. I like the idea of applying the discord to archery since their leech is half and maybe it would help to get that discord boost. Seems like for archery I would want a bushido boost too. Now to decide which account to put it on...

Lady Arwen the reason the music and discord needs to be 120 each is to discord a boss. I already looked at that on the barding difficulty.
