I think Friendly fights between those who wish to better themselves would benefit Siege as a whole. Being able to learn without worrying about losing all your gear every 5 minutes would actually help build more interest in Pvp. Just my opinion of course. Factions is over rated IMO. 
Actually, I was just trying to see if there was an evil guild that might be willing to rp a war with us. We have alot of people interested in PVP that just need some experience. An RP war would be a good way to help them get up to speed.

and why non-faction? Because we're not faction and we're not going to be. If there's no other guild that wants to do it, then that's fine with us, I was just throwing it out there and looking for something RP to do with our guild.
Last time there were ideas layed out,sorry you couldn't follow them and were not included and then bitched about it. Kinda funny that everyone else kept to the theme and had fun. Do you even play here sir?

I honestly don't know if faction/non-faction can war each other...never tried.
In my opinion: 1) non faction won't want to be outgunned by the arties available to faction members
and
2) faction members won't want to experience statloss when the non-factioners won't
Was really just trying to make it the least complicated option. Seemed it would be easier to re-equip IF looted and easier to get a res and easier to get back in the fight if everyone was non-faction. Like I said, we're looking for an RP reason to do it, and to have some agreeable fighting terms where my peeps can learn and improve their skills.
