I wouldn't say that i'm entirely content with the faction system at the moment...however the proposed changes are just wrong.
I'm not sure about other shards, but on Europa, 4 factions just isn't enough (maybe it's inherent that Europeans hate each other) I propose that each guild be able to create a sub faction for themselves, this way you would not have to be in an allied faction with anybody you didn't wish to be). So ok there can be 3 different types of faction horses and bases, but i'd like to be able to stat players who have joined my faction without my approval and i'm sure visa versa.
And as for the faction equipment, on the conversion, please don't put everyone to 0, It would be better to allow everyone to wear the highest rank armor at first, then have a relatively high decay rate, otherwise it's just elitist.
