NBG, how many of the potions have you used since the event, if not hoarding? i'm pretty sure the devs stated that the potions and stew would be available after the event arc and be easier to obtain to the loyalists.

i still think the pots are a bit expensive for pvp purposes, due to that they aren't 100% effective. i did the turn in a few times and was underwelmed with their performance in pvp, and waited for them to get cheaper.
At no point of time did the developers state the potions will be available later via buying from NPC for gold.

If they had stated that, I would not have spent so much time in the past month getting potions. I did not get the blackrock stews because they did state that there will be other method to bond bane dragons later on.

Try using shatter potion when you are in a raiding/defending spawn position where the battle is drawn out.

I guess the question is what is worse:

The result from a change makes a few people feel like they wasted their time to hoard an item they thought wouldn't be around forever, and said item may now actually be used on a regular basis.

or...

No change takes place. An item that was created continues to go unused because of a poorly thought out distribution system.

I think the latter is worse..

They could have just left the quest there for future turn ins and people that want to use the potions would need to farm turn in item.

You're missing the point, no one would use them because no one.. well most people.. wouldn't use perfectly good imbuing ingredients for a ****ty potion that has a chance to destroy a couple of potions in another players pack.

They would still go unused.

They could have just renamed the potions and change the color. How hard is that?

Have they done that before? yes
Could they have done it? yes

Did they do it? no

???? Why, how does that make any difference?

So the potions I have collected the hard way could be represented as my effort for doing the event?

I collected the potions so I can give them out to friends that might be on break at the moment or does not have the connection to do the event.

Could I still give them the potions? yes
Would the item be special anymore? no

Was time wasted for collection these potion under this assumption? yes

Would rename/color change fix this? yes

Anyways its too late to fix it so who cares right?

I just want the Dev to take these things into consideration when they make changes like this. Hints were given out about stews but no mention of potions what so ever.

Would this ever happen again? probably

Lynk,

Is posting that pic really necessary? Just because how I value my time spent in game is different than yours, does not mean you can just be a ****** about it.

Do the people making these decisions even play UO? I mean actually play the game, like go through the quests and events in their free time and interact with the community as a regular player? Sometimes they just seem clueless.

nm, figured it out.

How do i get positive points for ophids? it's not by killing bane, that just makes me become red to them too.

I DO care about my time spent. Its my life and time and time again the Dev keep making me feel ******** for spending time in this game.
So ... what's the point for you to play this Game here? If you are angry cause you spend time on something? Why don't you just stop to play UO ... problem solved!

Why do some people want everything newly introduced to be rare? Or better yet, why are they so quickly assuming it WILL be rare? This is getting ridiculous.

*sigh*

It has nothing to do with rarity. Read the thread.
Naturally I did. It was in reference to NBG complaining excessively about them being so easily obtainable now.

Edit: Of course it also has to do with many other complaints in the past over items that eventually became common or much less rare.
