What are your essential slayer types for your Sampire and Archers?

I am crafting new weapons and don't want to waste imbuing ingredients. For my Sampire I will make rune blades with Slayer HML/HSL/SSI/DI then enhance with dull copper (no POF). The weapons for my archer are trickier because I am using looted bows with no DI and 30SSI, add POF, imbue with Slayer/HML/HSL/HLD and then enhance with Ash and hope for the best.

So far I plan to make in this order:
Scorpion (money maker)
Spider (for navery)
Dragon
Demon
Undead (for archer only - Sampire has Trinket)
Repond

What else do you carry?

My arsenal includes the following:

100% Physical Hatchet - All 3 leeches, HLD, and HLA
Cold/Poison split hatchet - All 3 leeches, hld and HLA (use this for mobs with high phys so if I can't AI due to mana I can still LS for decent leech)

100% Phys Ornate - 30 ssi, hsl, hll, hml, hla

These are the weapons I use on the champ bosses or peerless bosses. If they have low phys I use ornate, otherwise I use hatchet for AI spam.

I have another set of weapons that I use for champ spawn level 1-4. The only wep I don't have yet is the double axe for Rikki. I use a rune blade for abyss only because I already have that demon slayer with 100% psn dmg but once I make 2 non excep 100% psn dmg weps Ill be making one for each slayer type.

I assume you got your hatchet, ornate axe, and double axe from loot and enhanced it? Meaning only 450 intensity.

Some looted, some crafted with DC hammer and low smithing with a high Blacksmith Bonus and low except. bonus talisman.

But yes - All with 450 intensity caps.

Old Man, What are you using your Sampire for? For me, that determins the weapons I use.

I spawn on my Sampire, a lot, so my weapons are all geared to do spawns as fast as possible. I would be happy to list them if you are interested.

In short, I am a Swords Sammy, and I only use 3 types of weapons now, Radiants Scimitars, Double Axes, and Bladed Staves. I have 5 Radiants, 3 Double Axes, and 3 or 4 Bladed Staves. I use them for everything, Spawns, SA mini Spawns, Peerless, Event stuff, just depends on what I am fighting.

The actual Slayers are: Demon, Arachnid, Reptile, Repond, Spider and Dragon. (Undead on Trinket) I also have a 100% fire double Axe (no Slayer)

Thanks, Nyses. That's the kind of information you and Lynk provided that I am looking for. I have dozens of looted weapons that I am slowly replacing with imbued weapons.

I use my sampire for just about everything my friends are up for, whether moving spawns, Doom, Abyss bosses and I am working towards doing the peerless solo. So I want to have a collection that I can just grab and go.

Also, my sampire has soul stones to swap out swords/mace/fencing. I like my blackstaff for spawns, rune blades for most other things. I don't have the gear to use Ornate Axes to the best effect... not enough stamina/SSI gear. I want to play with Lynk's template using Lumberjack with axes, too.

Dude, I'd strongly recomend a bladed staff for any bosses - imbue slayer properties on them if you like.

Reasons are these:

1) similair damage output to rune blade but easier to stay at max swing.
2) Ability to AI (poormans crit) when needed to leech big, after being hit - makes me much more survivable vs rikktor. Get hit? just hit AI twice. Often you'll be able to chain AI 4-5 times.
3) it looks big.

Other thing i'd suggest is to enhance with shadow iron as it adds more durability?

I'd also er towards super-slayers for spawn flexibility and cost-effectiveness - kill miasma and mephist with the same weap for example, rather than making 2 lesser-slayers. the extra 100% damage increase isn't so relevant when using chiv and perfection i find...

My fave slayers?

Reptile for rikki/GDs/stygian/renowned wyvern (rad schim, daisho and bladed staff)
Arachnid for mephist/miasma/navrey (RS & BS)
Undead/demon for doom and their respective spawns. (RS & Diasho)
Repond for cavern of discarded/barracoon/medusa (RS & BS)

I think you mean Dull Copper, not shadow for the durability.

I tired the bladed staff and the damage output didn't compare to the rune blade. I can try again on a couple slayers that I have to compare... I just added the +5% SSI cape, and need to look for a good +5% SSI ring.

Better yet, get an undead slayer and a trinket. Don't even have to EoO.
With a Trinket and an Undead Slayer 100% fire double axe I can cut through rotting corpses like butter, and I don't even have anatomy

ok, this one will prolly fall to thunderz. i burned several dc and shadow runic hammers last night tryin to get some good superslayer 'blanks' i can imbue.

got plenty of dragon, scorp, spider, air/fire/blood/poison elemental but not one single super slayer.

is it even possible to get superslayers from dc or shadow runic hammers? how are you guys getting them? or do i just need to imbue them.

I just imbue them. Its easier, faster and less tedious to get the mats, than getting the hammers and burning them.

I just imbue them. Its easier, faster and less tedious to get the mats, than getting the hammers and burning them.

Agreed, only thing I burn DCs for is elemental damage weps. I soulstone smithing off, buy it to 40, equip the appropriate ash/talisman to get me the highest success chance with lowest except chance so I dont waste a mod on DI.

i've gotten several 100% energy weaps but they keep having ubws on them. is there any way to get the elemental damage without the useless mods? (aside from looting) or is there a better way?

This is the best way that I know of, without looting or buying them from someone else.

I usually get 1 usable non-physical wep from each DC hammer. Its not always 100% energy, or 100% cold, just non-physical.

Sounds like your just getting unlucky, iv had loads with 100% energy or 90%.

i am getting the usable mixed elemental resist ones, but the higher 90% or 100% seem to have junk mods a lot. i've had two 100% energy resist ones with ubws... what are the odds...
