The Perfect Sampire

So i think i am close to having the perfect sampire i believe all my skills are alright. I know i have to make specific weps to fight specific monsters.here my skill set

120 swords
120 bushido
120 parry
120 resist
120 tactics
100 necro
60 chiv

Yes i used jewels to get my skills up there.

So lately i have been trying to solo doom the gauntlet is easy enough but when i get to the dark father things get hairy. First he has a special power to know exactly where to place the bones so that you cant see them on the screen. very annoying cause then i get all these monsters on me dropping my stam like mad slowing down my hits then i die.Second problem is those damn revants at 60 chiv i have a 99.9% of fissing everytime. its so annoying. im using a ornate and double axe for my weps of choice. Anyone got any ideas how to step my game up. i wanna be able to solo everything in this game.I already have rikki and barcoon under my belt. TYR

A whirwind weapon might be advisable during DFs to take care of his summons. If you go 115 tactics/resist, 70 chiv, you'll have an easier time with the revs. Not sure how else to dispell them easy, unless you create an arm macro for a Luna Lance (+10 chiv).

A fast scimitar weapon with 50% dispel might work when things get too harried. Whirlwind and hit dispel should give yourself a bit of breathing room.

Oh, right. Forgot hit dispell could be imbued. That might work, too.

yea im thinking of imbueing a double axe (which has whirlwind) with something like undead slayer / di / hit mana leech / ssi / hit life leech. and figure out way to get my chiv to work a little better for the revs cause the wep could be a good spawning wep so im not quite sure i wanna ruin its uses by doing hit dispel. altough i could just make a hit dispel whirlwind scimtar and just hope it gets em lol lots of money invested in these sampires i see.TYR

That's why I've never been a good sampire: never had the funds/willpower to sink - er, invest - the required gold.

I'm convinced there is no perfect sampire. What works for me doesn't work for others, and vice versa.

I love my hatchet wielding 170 chain AIing lumberjack build that crits for 250 with an ornate, but I'm sure many people wouldn't like playing it.

Just like I can't see myself putting resist on a sampire where others won't play without it.

Yes, I think your solution lies with weapons. For the DF I would have 2 Double Axes. One would have Demon Slayer/HML/HSL/SSI/DI. The other would have Hit Dispel/HML/HSL/DI/SSI. Of course this assumes you have a Conjurer's Trinket on for the Undead Slayer property and a total SSI of 35. If you can't keep the Double Axe swinging at 1.25s then I would use the Radiant Scimitar as your dispel weapon and then switch back to your primary weapon to tackle the DF.

Also make sure you have the DF tucked in one of the corners to reduce the number of bones he throws.

Good thinking why waste Imbueing points on undead slayer if i can just wear my trinket ! i seemed to do better when i would clear away the spawn and pull of a divine fury to boost my stam again when i had the dark father alone. TYR

just to make sure there no extra bonuses from having undead slayer on my wep as well as on my trinket right?

No extra bonuses.

Where are you having the troubles? I also hope for lots of spawn. Helps keep me alive, not that i really get low anyways, but more monsters means more leeching.

I use a double axe throughout the entire gauntlet. For the darkfather its imbued with demon slayer, 50 mana, 50 stam leech, 30 ssi and rest into DI. I don't switch weapons or anything else. I also have a conjurers trinket equipped.

To answer your revanant debacle. Just kill it. CW and three momentum swipes will kill it. Or if there is heavy spawn, CW and about 4-5 whirlwinds will kill it. Don't run away and try to dispel it. You'll just cause yourself more problems, more spawn and more crazyness.

Also, another fun thing with the double axe. With EOO, Perfection, DI from items and CW I'm pushing maximum Damage inc. and with each hit I'm doing about 100 damage. At that output i can pretty much spam Double strike which will allow me to hit for just about a total of 200 damage per swing.

I run that template, but with 75 Chiv and only 65 Parry (no skills on suit) & I have 1/3 casting on my jewels. I wear the Trinket as was pointed out and I use a Demon Slayer double Ax, almost exactly like the one Freelsy mentioned.

I go enemy of one to the DF and I fight him in a corner to midigate the spawn. If there are too many spellcasters that pop, I step in with a whirlwind, otherwise it is double Strikes to the DF. The ONLY thing that will kill me, is me (bloodoathed). So, the second I see/hear it, I Evade and cast remove curse, I almost always get it off the 1st or 2nd cast. Then back to DS, to the death.

Oh and the revs, at 1/3 I am fast enough to dispel them instantly. That spell almost never fails and is rarely interupted.

yea resist sucks on a sampire.......the only thing its good for is blood oath that's it.....id rather have anatomy for the damage boost and have evasion last for 2 more seconds. imma try to drop parry ffor lumbert and see how it works is that what you did?

I took anat and tact both to 120 and have LJ at 100. I sometimes swap it out for parry.

I would replace Resist with Spirit Speak. A template without any healing method will be limited to certain mobs.

The Perfect Sampire?

Here is the formula

Sampire char + 5-10 soulstones + the right weapon for the right situation = The Perfect Sampire.

Its all about knowing what you are killing and what would be the best way to go about killing it.......

BE PREPARED! Then you can be perfect heheh

Warning!!! Above formula does not account for player's skill level.

I happen to like resist on my sampire it helps with burning off blood oaths but even more i like it most of all for mana vamp.nothing like sitting in the middle of a mob getting mana vamp spammed and you with no specials. TYR

I solod a Riki last night, and even level 4 didn't really give me any problems. If I get vamped or drained, I get mana back on the next hit so its really only one swing that I'm not whirlwinding on. I think I got down to 15 HP at one point because I accidentally casted enemy of one.

I will say that I'm no longer doing the Riki spawn with LJ, definitely putting parry back on and busting out the Daishos for feint spam on Riki.

My swampy armor broke when Riki was half life, then he did back to back hits, I whiffed, and he EQd, and I died :(.

ya same here.......u just have to be careful with level 3 and 4 as far as no resist goes....gotta know when to evade, and gotta make sure after your target dies(when your whirlwinding) that you immediately click on your next target . i have problems with this and spellcasters, but other than that, id rather have the damage boost from anat. especially when rikki pops....resist becomes a waste of skill at that point. no?

As far as casters go, dragons/ophidians tend to be much less annoying than Demons/Undead.

I'd like to add another 30 mana to my suit just to have a bit of room for the feint but I'd agree that Rikki is a fun and easy spawn. My guild will bust out 3-5 of these a hour if we have 3+ sampires running around. Helps to have a discoer for protection but either way a fairly fun time. Everyone runs a scimmy with 50 hit area and reptile slayer so even the worst grouping of spawn drops in 3-5 hits. I got a sash last week to boot:gun:

dude ditch the daisho for rikki and use a bladed lance thingy, similair damage to rune blade but whenever he hits just AI him to fill back up. run away from EQ. much quicker than daisho :p

I made a new hatchet with reptile slayer and it did bump up my damage. I AI for 200 now on Rikki. Since I'm not using ornates anymore I'm gonna drop dex by 30 and pick up some intelligence, I think 78 mana will be enough to chain AIs.

Hatchet is fast enough to maintain 1.25 pretty easily, especially with my cape and ssi ring.

You can always depend on other to tell you what the best, they have enough suggestion to try. The weapon do play a big roles on staying a life, but once again, if the engine between the chair and the monitor is not to the task, no template will help you. I try Nyses template, took me some use to but i like the style of this one, I can solo almost everything in the game, but someday I still get my ass kick. Enjoy and try.

I am thinking my next char will be a Sampie....

However, all your talk has me very confused.

I have been away from the game for nearly 4 years, so I have no idea what the best things are.

I play on a shard that has limited people, so I have to solo a lot of things.

I am looking for a fairly versitile character that I can do doom, spawns, and the Dreadhorn type places.

I have not been to the new dungeon, but there looks to be some pretty fun places there.

Scrolls, Armour and rings and weapons shouldn't be a problem to gather, as I have some money from when I played before.

I am looking for suggestions, but in as lamen talk so to speak as possible.

I was thinking macing, but looks like the old LJ Swords option might be a lot better.

Thank you all for your input, and I look forward to reading what you have to say.

If I am to do Doom, I'd prefer to just log the char out in there, and return home with artifacts and repair & such. I might have a soulstone on me with stealing in case I see something I want in the gauntlet, but we will see.

Please let me know your thoughts.

I will need to know what my stats should be, armour I should build/craft. What mods on my swords, rings and such.

I know you are all busy, but would appreciate your help.

You might want to look at this thread, it is my spawning Sammy template and the skills are all still the same to this day. I have updated the armor a few times and I think I detailed that too.

It is the best build I have run for spawns, it easily solos Doom and many of the Peerless.

You will not be able to use a soulstone in Doom, there is no Inn.
