Okay, been hearing stories bout green demons attacking in town. Atlantic shard right now. Any others?

Was my initial thought but nothing on their forums about it etc. They usually good about posting it... *shrugs*
Atlantic, Luna:
4-6 green daemons spawned called "A daemon scout" in Luna.
This was around 8:40 EST. I haven't heard of them dropping anything and they were dispatched quickly.

Slither confirmed dropped off of one in Luna.
Guildie got wildfire bow and totem of void in brit.
So they dropping stuff.

Doubt that. It's a Putrifier, it doesnt drop that item so someone is BSing here... Just my 2 cents...

They're all over... my miner got trounced in double quick time as 4-5 spawned around minoc mines. (Europa)
About 5 guardian deamons hit luna europa and killed all the bank sitters. I was just back from hitting the abyss, and can tell you they were nasty. If you can imagine a para balron times 5 thats about the level of difficulty they are. Be carefull! These were like a copper gold color and looked like a balron.
It's more than a Putrifier it's more on the level of a Slasher. I've been killed 4 times trying to stand my ground with it. Last go around I got thumped with a two hit combo for 66+72= 138. At least the ones on Europa.
Trying to solo this beast on a Sampire will require alot of jousting and patience.
It hits like a Rikktor,Rend, Meraktus...Big Shots and it has some damaging spells to boot.

Had to see Europa for myself.
Looks like it is a Putrifier as people claimed because of the spleen but I'm pretty certain it's a buffed version. I killed the Putrifier earlier this week with little problems but I got my head handed to me by this Daemonic Guardian.
And I was hitting it for 60-70 per shot but it was returning in kind

Yeah my Cu and tamer/archer solo Purtifiers a good bit. The ones on Atl are green and not the same thing ya'll are getting on Europa. Seems yall are at a higher level or something than we are?? But even the green Daemon Scouts (not the Daemonic Scout [Guardians])we are getting are very buffed Purtis, had one in Luna just then that kept taking its self from half health to full health. Did that about eight times before it finally dropped.

Just marty's that I know of for a fact. Someone in Luna said they got Slither (but dont know them well enough to know if it's true or BS). Just Luna and Brit here at the banks.

Minoc mate, the mine area just to the NE of the town proper, there is at least 5 wandering around there
Lets see did lethal poisen, bleed attack and can paralyze you on a regular basis even when you have 100 magic resist, plus the suckers run fast after you lol. Perhaps if you solo and are a sammie its best to have a weapon that has the paralyse special move on it or try and joust it but have a trapped box to break the para.

I was minding my buiseness stocking my vender and it came and took a shot at me. I escaped went home got one of my fighters and suffice it to say it will never take a shot at my poor merchant again. Only got the spleen. the rest regular loot you find on a high end boss mixed with the basic. Nothing special that time.

Ohh.. perhaps these spawn when the "cheat detection system" uses it's data-mining profile to detect someone using an illegal 3rd party program nearby.. their first target? that script miner, bank sitter and/or skill trainer!

The name difference might not be important. It's probably just a named em monster that's part of the new scenario and they just named it a little differently without thinking about it.
They definitely drop marties this one had an Alchemist Bauble on it. I unraveled 79 items from 2 of them on Atlantic no relics.

Cool, so not just an EM event it would seem. *logs in to see whats next*
Seems that either EMs are logging on randomly throughout the day and spawning them or they put them on a fixed spawn with a long respawn timer. Atlantic was hit throughout the night and is still being hit today.

That's the way the Brit invasion started back in 04 or 05. A few here and there for a couple days and then BAM, it was on.

Hmm, so instead of spawning things at Luna to push people back to say, Britain, you also have things spawning at Britain too? In addition, the numbers are so small that more people seem to be going to Luna to "camp" the spawn

Thanks to Lord Djinn on Atlantic for showing me this but there seems to be a new bit of fiction in a book that is in Brit Castle.
Nimauq and I cannot find new fiction, but the crystal on Europa doesn't have a cover on it in the Enhanced Client; it remains covered in the classic, but I'm not sure if it was always uncovered in the EC... does anyone have any EC shots from when it was dug up?

Was out looking to see if any other areas of town had the daemons and ran across this at Castle Blackthorn on Atlantic. This old-new or just left over EM deal on Atl? Gates are locked so could not get in for closer look.

Sosaria slept, and the long lashes of the night sky covered the landscape beneath the light of a waxing moon.
For many, shadows are a place for the sinister. Shadows are a place to hide. Shadows imply a coldness, a detachment.
For others shadows are a place for opportunity.
Kerom’s Dream
Kerom was just another soldier in The Cause.
As the dreams slipped beneath his lids, shadows curled about his shoulder. Shadow: a different blanket of darkness shrouding him in wicked bliss. His kin moved in and out of darkness with grace, trading almost substance-les form for death. The movements of the chosen -- serpents bathed in warm oil, shredding silence from the warm, supple necks of their victims who were unaware all too late of their presence.
Finally, the lavender goal of their rewards rested in their hands. Even in his sleep, Kerom, just another soldier in the cause...smiled.
Even in this dream his mind worked. The symbolism not lost on him. Of course there was nothing to hide. All would be done in the light of day, in rays of sun and brilliant light. Dappled mornings would greet every citizen as each of the Chosen set about his task. And the message would spread: “Progress for all!” And the land would heal: “Follow us!” And every walking thing would surrender to the hope: “Join and be renewed!”
Kerom slept in bliss, aware of how disturbing these dreams might be for some.
“Freedom at the cost of blood?” Of course, it made perfect sense to the Chosen.
But as the cacophony of sword and scream thrilled his slumber, his brethren shared similar dreams -- the sound of the captured, shrieking in cages throughout the encampment, embraced his ears.
Dawn’s Dream
Dawn woke with a rush. The calm of the chamber mocked the thrum of her heart seizing against her chest. The distinct copper taste of her own blood filled her cheek. Her tongue searched as if she’d been struck in a brawl only to realize she needed to unclench her fist and teeth.
Visions of her citizens imprisoned in their own flesh, screaming without mouths, eyes tearing, stalked her mind like Harrowers. She too was screaming, until she saw her own reflection in a mirror, her lips and mouth absent, and she realized her vision blurring, dark claws embracing her shoulders … almost a caress as she fumbled for her broadsword.
Her breaths slowed as she released her aching grip on the sheets, finding she had mystically found her weapon as she tossed in her sleep. Certainly it was just training and reflexes.
The cool metal brought a peace and serenity to her reeling mind. As her fingers slipped along the flat of the blade her lips shifted into the glimmer of a smile.
She allowed her voice, surprisingly steady, to break the spell of the dream …”Oh … I’m more than ready.”
The Warning
Zhah planted her feet steadily; arms outstretched embracing the flow of magic between her and the shield that protected her Kingdom. The mist and chaos of the Void teased at the edges of her power. She felt her talons burn as she looked for breaches.
She felt the presence of all things from the palace to the Holy places in the South. Her mind reached further still until it skirted the darkness of the Abyss, the Slasher slipping out of a recent rampage to cut into a corner of her spellweaving.
She smiled adoringly thinking to herself , “Hello Cousin of the Void.” All things had a place … even Evil.
And in that instant her eyes snapped opened, and her muscles were caught in torment and searing pain. A convulsion ripped through her wings, feeling the spark of something she rarely felt: fear.
In a leap she was across the room, one sweep of her wings shooting her the length of the Queen’s chamber, to her desk.
Writing furiously, she half-scrawled a missive to her border patrols. An old Evil was on its way, and even the Slasher might find this one more than a plaything.

I had always though penning Mobs was a violation?
I thought it was illegal to pen them in to train on, No idea about killing.

Nah using your environment to kill a monster is ok. If not it should be as it is UO environment youre not in a arena.

Using your environment to kill a monster is ok. Penning them to train on them is not. They have taken steps a few years ago to prevent this from happening. Two seperate issues there.
