Player characters with Alchemy skill receive an inherent bonus to Enhance Potions that can exceed the 50% cap. The bonus to Enhance Potions equates to +10% for every 33 points of Alchemy (i.e., 80% at GM Alchemy).

Was kicking around the idea of Alchemy to give my sampire a different bit of flavor. Has anyone had experience with this? How effective was it? & what potions did you use?

Alot of people run anat or SS or resists, so i dont see why you couldnt run with alchy instead of one of those as the template still works fine using either (you dont miss anat when you have SS or miss SS if you run anat).
Only thing i couldn't see is the benefits Apart from healing and refresh pots, but if there is a cool down on them then no that wouldnt work.

I was thinking you could get alot of dmg out of explosion pots but problem there is a sampire is toe to toe so your gona hit yourself aswell unless you run with archery.

That could be a good temp actually, exp pot archer sampire.... An AA sampire (alcoholic sampire lol).

EDIT if you have alchy on a SS try it out, im gona go try it on my sammy archer [watch this space].

I don't think I would want to drop Anatomy from my sampire and lose 20% damage bonus... that would be very hard to make up the difference with XP potions.

However, that does seem to be a very good possibility with my ABC archer.... swap out resists for alchemy that I have on a soul stone.

Exp pots can do insane dmg.

They will also hit your sampire because you should be directly on top. Maybe alch is a better fit for the ABC as mentioned above.

I just took healing off my sampire archer and tested it out against navrey and its doing 50ish dmg per pot and you can spam them, i was doing probably 3 a second, ontop of the 160 from my bow and 10-30 from the hit spellso its good damage and pretty easy to spam with a last object last target macro. 320 damage per second is pretty sick, plus when i crit its more like 450.

I think im gona keep it on him for a while and play about with it :)
One issue is the weight of pots, can only carry 400 a time so it means alot of going back to pick more up unless you ride a beetle or drag one around with you!

If you have a theif you have a chance to steal a mana pot ^^
I've never used them... what exactly (how much mana) do these potions do? Are they a MR boost or instant mana?

Been around since publish 57. Its more of an emergency item.

Mana Draught: Uninsurable. When drunk, the player instantly recovers between 25 to 40 mana points. 10 min cooldown.

Yep. The cooldown timer makes this something that prevents it from being a replacement for resist. If you just used one and you get mana vamped again, you're hosed.

Have always been curious about a fighter with Parasitic Poison...

A lot of us get by just fine without resist.
