On behalf of collectors, museum owners and others who have copies of old 'rare' Ilshenar treasure maps a Thank You to those responsible for recognising the value of these items to players. I see that these will now be recognisable by the addition of 'Artifact value 0' to them to distinguish them from the new issue maps.

From a previous thread on the subject it seems Mesanna has been actively engaged on bringing this about, if so, my thanks to her specifically.

It is heartening to see that there are those working on the game that recognise the importance of the games history to many of us.

I am one of those who complain bitterly about some issues concerning the game so it is only right that when I recognise someone has made an effort I acknowledge it.

Mesanna and the EMs (at least the ones on my shard) are pretty much UO's saving graces for me at this point.

I just hope Cal realizes and acknowledges what an amazing person in Mesanna he has under him. Because without her and the EM program, you'd have a lot of disgruntled customers.

It took a lot of work before the EMs actually came about but it's been worth the effort!

I wonder why is it, that the rare collectors get heard, but the crafters interested in ML craftables don't........

Funny because you're the only crafter interested in ML complaining. Assuming you're actually a crafter and that you're actually interested in ML craftables. Regardless, you complain too much.

Thank you for being at the rares festival on Chessy shard recently, your efforts are very much appreciated in the game. Now if we could actually get to see a real GM in the game like the old days rather then a canned message that would be nice. But if we could clone you and have some more em's like you that would be awesome .

I am surprised that you missed the very well written posts, widely motivated and explained from Basara who is a THB shard Guildmaster and a Moderator of the Stratics' Craftsman forum, an advocate for both T-Hunters and Crafters.

He also supports to have ML ingredients in Treasure Chests and has stated in in varioud posts on the argument. Strange how you missed them.

By the way, on the Craftman Forum he held a Poll about adding ML ingredients to Treasure Chests and a whopping 86.36% came in favour of adding them !!

That is over 6 in 7 crafters !!!!!!!!!!

- 59.09% Yes, both the common and rare items
- 18.18% Yes, but only the ones common to all peerless (including taint)
- 9.09% Yes, but only the rarer items (boss items, taint, rare recipes, etc.)

Total makes it an overwhelming support of 86.36% in favour !!!

And you tell me I am the only one wanting this ??

I'm really pleased they made these changes, and 'restored' a rare item, since to a lot of players collecting 'rare' stuff is a major part of their game.

I'm concerned that it got so far along in the process before it was caught though, it's not as if we have not seen similar problems often enough in the past, and it's well beyond time where these things should be considered by the developer working on the latest updates.

Much as I appreciate Mesanna's work on stuff like this, I fear that what she's doing far too much of the time is covering for the mistakes or oversights of others, and while it's great she has the enthusiasm and interest to do that for us, it isn't right that it keeps landing with her to sort things out.

Then again, it's fairly well known I don't think UO is actually 'managed' in any proper sense, and to me it looks like another example of a company relying on the enthusiasm and helpfulness of their best staff to cover for the poor performance of others, and especially their supposed 'managers'.

The people who sort out the messups deserve a lot of praise, those who keep failing to stop the messups happen don't.

p.s. We on siege hear that the consensus of who ever signs up EMs is that we "don't want an EM", and as such we now don't have one. Just like to toss in the fact that that is not true.

Saying, yeah ok thats fine, does not equate to being a fanatic about it like you are. "Wanting", and happily taking if the option is available are different things.

I would vote yes on that poll, but I honestly don't care, and in general neither does anyone else. I don't think I've seen a single person show more than a cursory "oh, too bad" type of reaction to no peerless ingredients in new chests...but yourself.

But I know its not in your nature to cease your endless complaining.

Now Please! They have added much wanted new content (goodies for the t-hunter) and even made adjustments after reading the suggestions here. They could have decided to put whatever they want in thoses chests, even a poster of the Backstreet Boys. If I was a dev, I would be soooo little motivated to add new content or revamp things like t-hunting. Whatever they do, they will find some cry babies that will complain that their bowl is not as full as their neighbors.

As for the reduction of the drop rate for the forged pardon, I am a little disappointed. I feel again that it's alot like the previous example where the others (blues) looked in the bowl of the red and cried that there was too much good things in it. It is not like it will affect me when i reactivate my accounts. My reds have 500-1500 murder counts and I still have 80% of my characters blue. I am just saying...

Actually statistics can very easily be abused. 86.36% of what total number of voters?

I really think this should be implemented, though. Rares no, common yes.

I started this thread as a simple thank you to those responsible for implementing a change which benefitted everone. Players have old maps which kept their rarity and T/Hunters have new maps to use in Ilshenar so everyone is happy.

I did not post it as a vehicle to ask for other changes or to complain about things that have not been done.

If other changes of a similar type happen - Great! I will applaud those too but I was pleased just to see that sometimes someone listens.
