The Death of Captain Crunch

New to the lands of Siege Perilous, I walked the streets of the cities, mostly in fear after hearing the stories told abroad of this dangerous land. Each step I took, my heart beat faster as I looked over my shoulder at buildings that seemed familiar, yet threatened to harbor the most treacherous of men. I sensed a bloodbath at every corner and imagined the mayhem that could pursue at any given moment.

For days I stepped lightly, only lingering long enough in each city to familiarize myself with the surroundings. With feet barely skilled at stealthing, several times I encountered citizens of this realm, going about their daily activities and seemingly unaware of my existence here. Day by day, my fears began to subside, and a lax judgment of security and well being conquered what remained of my common sense.

As I became more confident and daring, my sights expanded and I broadened my travels to other parts of Siege Perilous, noting that I still seemed to remain unseen, even in the major cities. When I had convinced myself that I had witnessed the lands to the best of my abilities, I decided it was time to hit the seas and scout out the opportunities to expand my skills as a fisherman…after all I was a Captain.

Arriving on Siege completely emptied handed, I had encountered a fair maiden named Petra, that had felt pity for my lack of a vessel and had given to me a new ship, which I had named “The Petra Fyde Black Pearl”.

Collecting all supplies that were needed for my new quest, and heading to the nearest dock known to me, I placed my ship in the water, eager to be back at home in the seas. I had ventured only slightly from the pier, and as I stood daydreaming of the open seas I would soon encounter, suddenly, the world became a vast gray horizon.

Holy Monkey, mother of Apes! What the HELLLL, just took me out? (Not exactly the words I uttered, but I’m sure you get the idea.)

There, sailing away from me on another ship and muttering words even worse than those I had chosen to use, (because the deck was locked and he couldn’t loot me), was none other than the notorious pirate, Slave Children!

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

LOL…actually this was my first death to PVP (that’s Pirate Versus Pirate) since coming to Siege and I’ve got to say, it was a great experience. I spoke with Slave today and he was quite humorous.

I am truly amazed at how folks here can kill someone and it is not always the start of a war! Its fascinating. Siege really is a challenge, but nothing like I thought it to be. I think a lot of folks on other shards are seriously misinformed about Siege. This place is great!

And I would have gotten away with it, if it wasn't for those meddling kids!

Indeed! Siege Perilous is by far the best shard of Sosaria. I used to come here to train my lockpicking thief when Atlantic was down... never planning or expecting to interact with the people of the shard. Things went on like this for a year or so.... then I came across a website devoted to 'The Misadventures of Chad Sexington', and became a fan of his work.

When I read that he had moved to Siege Perilous, I sought him out to join forces! I already had some training, but he required proof of loyalty in Episode form to join his guild! Recruits are required to document two steals and have proof! "If you don't have pictures, it didn't happen!", he would say, and that's the humble beginnings of The Notorious Nightstalker!
