How well can I function with 30-35 DCI?

For boss fights? Is 45 a must? Since I'm on siege even 30% is a risky (and damn expensive) way to go outside of factions.

I thought I might try the basilisk hide armor if I could ever get it, so that could bring it up to 35. Unless I join factions, which would require dropping my sampire out of my guild and having him start a new one, which would be annoying, I think I'm stuck at this level.

Is that level still ok? Or will I get hit too often? Probably depends on the boss I'd imagine.

It'll be noticeably trickier, but it's doable.

imho, it is barely noticable (if at all). I run with 30-35 DCI on my spawn Sammy and have little trouble. For comparisom, I run an Elf fencer Sammy with 45 DCI, GM parry and the leafeblade (feint). I suppose he gets hit a little less, but if you are doing enough damage it is a moot point, as your health bar is always at max.
