Publish 67 tomorrow?

Well, heres what UO.com says from nearly a week ago:

Hello all!

I will try to write a more extensive producer's update to discuss the current plans for publish 67 next Friday, as well as status on live events and core system updates next week.

So which of these two does he mean?

I will try to write:

a more extensive producer's update to discuss: the current plans for publish 67
this will be discussed next Friday

- or -
a more extensive producer's update to discuss: the current plans for publish 67 (which will be released) next Friday


The confusion for me arises with the additional part "as well as status on live events and core system updates next week."

I read this as meaning he will discuss it this week but.. why would he also discuss the core system updates if they've already taken place?

What do you all think?

personnelly I am glad not only one who though that it could be publish 67 on friday and what is funny i read somewhere about these events that are leading up to the big event saturday . this could mean a publish.

however i long ago learned not to read heavyly into anything they say. so i am assuming a letter on friday telling us publish 67 will contain something we
will spent 2 weeks complaing about that will or will not happen depending on how widespread and nasty the complaints are.

my other guess is that publish 67 contains the anti macroing code they already set up we will have this weekend to get warmings and will take effect next week. i do not think they can only activate it on origin so i think this is either a go live with a warning period or test the weekend and than go live. still waiting to see if they make it strong enough to mean something or a 2 week wonder till the guilty get there work around or if this will be the end with all quitting cause there gameplay was effected . so many are quitting right now makes you wonder if they have inside info on this and will not try to go along with normal play.

I believe the intent was to convey that Friday would be the day that he would release a treatise about Publish 67. However, the structure of his grammar unfortunately introduced ambiguity into the situation.

Would be nice to have Pub67 on TC to play with tomorrow, But I think he means to talk about what it will contain.

I would guess they're going to introduce the ideas for publish 67. That's probably about it.

He will discuss the current plans for publish 67 in next Friday's (this Friday) producer's update. This is what I got out of the announcement. They usually don't release publishes on Friday. Normally it is on or before Thursday so that if something major goes wrong they can work on it Friday and not the weekend.

He means...[I am pretty over worked right now and my producer's letter will be out in the next two weeks. It won't affect any release so if I don't get to it for two weeks don't be worried. The content of this producer's letter will contain details about the status of live events and publish 67. You should know there will be a core system update next week. I will provide boring details if I get a few minutes to myself.]

Fine! The answer is I meant to have an update today on what we're doing for Pub 67.

I ran out of time. We had a very busy week with the update to all the shards for the DB update.

I will tell you that right now the updates for Treasure maps are going through QA; there are some updates to the EC and the classic client ... Cutoff for features for 67 was this week. Right now we are hammering out the last bugs before verifying the date for TC.

We also went through the plans for Live events for the next several weeks.
There will be some fiction posted today.

That's all I have right now. Apologies for the confusion ... Comma splicing should be a felony.


I will also tell you several topics you have covered on the boards in the last couple of weeks ... we are wondering if you guys are sitting in on our weekly meetings.

We will be able to disclose more in the coming days. I'm currently limited on what I can discuss because every announcement for the next several weeks needs to go through legal and marketing first

I really am impressed with the effort you guys are putting in to bring UO back from the dump it's been in over the past several years. We all know how long it has been allowed to decay and we're very critical after years and years of broken promises and ignored issues on all fronts.

Seeing as updates usually come out on friday I will wait until then as I want them to finish their Q&A on the t-hunting changes before writing the update.

My own t-hunting has gathered so much dust since AoS. I am actually kind of scared to see how much skill/stat alterations it's going to take before I send him out hunting again, lol.
