Weapon Animation effect actual weapon speed?

Ok so I am training a new warrior and of course I know about weapon speed,ssi and stamina.

I am training with 2 weapons a 20 ssi radiant scimitar at 2.5 seconds and a 20 ssi hatchet at 2.75 seconds. Stamina is at 177 as of now.

It just seems the hatchet is faster.

count it out dude. how many hits in a ten second period?

is your stamina remaining constant?

All the weapons and bows have 7 animation frames for attacking.

Throwing might be different, but all the others would have the same speed.

Taking the weps I was using.

With the hatchet the animation is that the toons arm is going up and down and the hatchet is stationary.

The Radiant scimitar is a chopping motion.

However we are dealing with sprites that are rendered through the cpu and both would have a different packet size that would need to be processed.

Who knows I could just be imagining things.

At any rate my toon is doing fine. I have no idea how it will turn out. I'm playing with a LJ type template and maxing out anat and tacts. I figure I can squeeze some extra skills on Jewels if need be.

7 frames for all combat animations, including the char and the armor.

I figure there's a set frames per second that's not going to change.

And wouldnt a couple more sprites on screen be negligibly small anyway?
