The necromancer takes the necromancy books.And along a similar thought pattern .. why won't the library collection mage take necro and mysticism spell books?

Slayer Withers would be way too powerful as well, although, it would pretty much end tamer chokes and give rise to more mystics I would imagine. Not sure if that's good or bad, lol.
If they add slayer to either, they'd just have to limit some spells, hehe. I don't see how slayer poison strike would hurt the game. Slayer essence of wind would be fairly epic for PvM.
EQ doesnt use slayer. Hailstorm doesn't hit over a screen-length like full circle essence of wind.And... Earthquake and Hailstorm are both similar to Wither and Essence of Wind and they have slayers.
It wasn't a hidden mechanic. Slayer spellbooks work for every spell which is enhanced by Evaluating Intelligence. Mysticism is the first skill since Magery to work with Eval Int.Yeah, just another example of hidden game mechanics to exclude new people from our little game.
But essence of wind is a very slow spell, and it's weak anyway. And if the entire screen doesnt drop fast the mage is toastEQ doesnt use slayer. Hailstorm doesn't hit over a screen-length like full circle essence of wind.
