Throne Room Oddities (Great Lakes)

Apologies if this has already been posted on already.

In the Castle Britannia Throne Room on the Great Lakes server, there's members of "The Queen's Elite Guard" roaming about. They are dressed in an odd-shimmering plate mail save for their gorgets (which for some reason are Tokunoese plate mail mempos rather than the conventional Britannian plate mail gorgets) and head gear (which are skullcaps rather than helms).

There's also rubble strewn about (no you can't pick it up from what I can tell) and a hole in the wall called "an entrance." Presumably these are both from the excavation project to uncover British's vault. And presumably the guards are there to keep any would-be thieves such as Ricardo from coming in. Or, potentially, to keep anything already in there from getting out.

Is this just Great Lakes? And has someone noticed it before and I'm just a late-comer? Apologies if so.

It also looks like that on Atl from what I can tell. There is a black area in the corner names "Hole" with quite a few elite guard posted on each side of the hallway.

Yes, but it's Sherry and the castle staff that's been breaking in. (We know this from the "Lost and Found" posts, going back to the first one.)

It's all officially sanctioned, and seemingly quite legal, if apparently messy.

Ricardo's finding out about the treasures seems to have been a coincidence....And unwelcome.

I'll try and remember to look later, but I think that's from an EM event just a couple of weeks back, when two lists of Royal Spies, ones with diplomatic covers ("official covers") and "non-official covers" (non-diplomats), were being sought by us, and by the the Demon Conclave.

If you're seeing the same thing I'm seeing, then it is a trick of the mempo and facial hair. The face bleeds through very oddly.

Makes it yet-odder that EA would have them wearing mempos!

Speaking of oddities in the Brit Castle...can someone tell me why this is as close as I can get to the steps here? I hit an invisable wall and can not come any closer. Is there a reason for it at all?

I don't particularly care for the marble armor or the mempos that manage to bleed through (I think the intention might've been to depict masks or bandanas to keep the dust out as they excavate); but I like the idea of her elite guard being a company of gruff, bearded, axe-swinging killers.

Moiety has been there on most shards for about 4 years, maybe more. It was from the first wave of Event Moderators. Back from when some of those very over powered items were created. This was from when story arcs were repeated on several shards. This is not a new item. There are tons of items left over from that time period spread all over the land! My favorite is the Dolphin slaughter station on the coast west of Vesper I think. If you explore the land you will find many items laying around. Castle British used to be the meeting place for events and such.

Sherry’s whiskers shivered with anticipation as she crept between the aging stones of the castle. She’d suspected for quite some time that something lay behind the oddly foreshortened wall of the throne room, but it wasn’t until recently that she’d been able to find a place where the stones at the base were weakened enough to force a way through. Clearing away the crumbled stone had taken several tail-wrenching trips until a few of the castle servants began offering helpful hands. The end result was a new mouse hole and a dust coated Sherry but no amount of debris in her fur could detract from the thrill of discovery: soon she would be where no mouse had been before!

The air was close; chokingly full of dust and heavy with time. As she pulled herself through the tight confines of the hole and into the chamber beyond Sherry blinked in surprise. The area was faintly illuminated! Nervously casting about for the source of the glow, Sherry fastened her gaze upon a small bundle of what appeared to be silk. The source of the illumination was coming from within. Gingerly Sherry extended a claw to prod at the dusty fabric only to recoil with a startled squeak as the aging cloth parted and tore, disintegrating to reveal a strange translucent shape.

Tail in claw, Sherry edged closer to investigate…

True, sorry our Moiety is located in Olivia Kanlocke's office. I think they are in different spots on different shards. Didn't think it was relevant... maybe it is.
