I've paged twice once saturday when I found it happened and once sunday morning and I plan to do it monday after noon with the fact I've filed a bug report and again saying whats wrong and that I've tryied several things on my own including but not limited to change race stoning the skill trying to set it down and back up .1 dying, dying by poison, going through a house teleporter (don't ask), and paging a gm twice and getting a canned response twice once the GM evidently didn't read it or misread because they though it was an item.
To give them the benefit of doubt, it could be an auto reply rule that upon finding keywords like lose, lost, loss, missing, gone etc prompts GMs to reply using a certain template. Maybe all the GMs do when they see this is click "yes to all".
Or maybe they are swarmed with so many pages that they don't have time to look into the issues properly.
Or maybe the are severely understaffed.
Or maybe they are using canned messages to filter off calls, and since people give up after a while, they might be thinking the problem was resolved by telling players they cannot replace items.
Or maybe the GMs lack product knowledge/training.
Or maybe they lack motivation. Job sucks, no career advancement prospects. Repeated mass layoffs.
These are management issues that the company can improve on.
Now, what is not excusable is if it's due to GMs being irresponsible temps that aren't serious about their jobs,
Or due to the GMs are outsourced to a different company that doesn't give a damn about their service levels other than showing how many tickets they close a day,
Or because they don't care and don't realize this is detrimental to EA's customer base and ultimately their jobs.
Or because the GMs are lazy bums that would rather have a doughnut break, IM all day and play facebook games than to work,
Then this is a staffing problem that needs to be dealt with harshly. I am generally positive on most things, but am riled by dead weight not doing their own job and undermining the genuine hard work that the devs and others are putting in.
