They basically are the old extinct hell hound leaders, same stats etc just 1 slot instead of 2.

Actually the old hell hound leaders were complete newbs according to the hunter's guide (which would have been taken from the old uo.com database)
Doesnt mean that these guys shouldn't replace them though.
Packs have needed some encouragement.

I wish I knew about this before I tamed 6 last night lol. least all I had to do was move purple bunnies to other characters so wasn't to bad for me.
