Base Skills:
120 Bushido
120 Fencing
120 Tactics
100 Anatomy
100 Healing
100 Necro
60 Chiv

Armor: Assassin's Suit, High fire/cold resist mempo with LMC, Mace & Shield Glasses, Aegis (for the bonuses), imbued and unimbued sampire leafblades, and normal DCI/HCI jewelery with some fire resist.

This combo gives me like 20% SSI, 35+%/HCI45%, 70/70/65/70/70, 25%+ LMC, around 120 health, 150 dex, and approx. 40 mana.

The leafblade allows me to use feint, which combined with my swamp dragon results in a 70% damage reduction. This should hopefully lead to fewer healing interruptions.

Soulstoned: 100 Resist, 120 Parry, 120 Swords/Mace.

Thoughts?

What mods are on the Leafblade? Feint is nice, but why waste a good Assassin's Suit on 2.75 second weapon? Wouldn't you be better off with a slower weapon with 30% SSI on it and heavier damage?

I don think fencing has any, other than a lance/ lajatang?

Does seem like a waste of an assasin suit. Swap it with your swordsman...

I was thinking about replacing healing with parry and anatomy with resisting
spells. Basically my setup would be...

120 Swords
120 Bushido

This way I can constantly maintain 150+ stamina without worry about curses. At 150+ stamina and 50+ SSI, an ornate will be swinging at 1.25. What do you
think?

Can't help you dude.

Reason being you top template is 99% my old main exactly, except he has swords.

Having just returned to UO I'd reconfigured to:

120 bush/swords with 100 heal/anat/tact/vamp + 60-70 chiv (+20 parry,focus,med JOAT)

I used to be (before evasion nerf) :

120 bush/swords, 115 parry, 100 vamp, 85 heal, 105 anat, 65 chiv (+20 tact,focus,med JOAT)

Now i don't know whether to put resist or parry back on for champs - i like being able to res people with bandies, however I'm about to imbue a suit which may mean I'll have higher HP allowing leeching to be more effective in a champ - can take more damage from casters dumps.

I dunno buddy. I'm gonna soulstone healing sooner or later, but i'll have a go with my current setup first...

Some people claim you cant survive a champ without evasion/parry, some say without resist. I couldn't see me having the failsafe healing of bandies...

I can't see bandies helping vs Paroxymous, but otherwise lovely.

Resist I'm unconvinced about. it's good for warding poison, resists curses and para.
Para can be broken with dart trap box, poison with VE, stat cure can surely be buffed through with pots etc.

my other concern will lead to a new post...http://vboards.stratics.com/showthread.php?p=1759761#post1759761

You'd need 55 SSI to swing an Ornate at 1.25s with 150 Stamina.

With 180 Stamina you only need 35 SSI.

Is there any way to get more than 30SSI on a weapon by enhancing or something? I only have 182 stam and 50SSI and it can be bothersome sometimes staying above 180 stam. I would like 35 or 40 SSI on my Ornate. (I dont have a blacksmith so I know nothing about making weapons, just Imbuing).

Only...
Wooden weapons, Imbued then Enhanced
Bows, Imbued then Enhanced
Invasion weapons can have up to 50 SSI

but I meant just having some on your armor as well.

Those are the 7 skills – with slightly different distribution – I’ve settled on for all-round use. In specific cases against high hitpoint bosses, I’ll swap out the resist for anatomy to speed things up. For “hard” group hunts, usually I’ll swap in healing to help out xheal and rez duty. I’ve tried different combos of parry/resist/anatomy/healing to go along with weapon/bush/necro/chiv/tactics. I can do doom and spawns with any of the combos, but for me, parry/resist gives the best results.

Parry, along with swampy, DCI, suit resists, feint, evade, JOAT attunement and, to some extent, magic resist, all help to prevent taking damage. If I have 150 hit points and I go against a mob or mobs that can deal 151 damage – I’m dead before I can leech/bandage/pot/magic heal/confidence etc. With parry, particularly since it enables evade, I can avoid a lot of the damage that would otherwise kill me without it.

Resist is a nice to have just as the extra damage for anatomy is a nice to have. Most situations I think I do things faster having resist instead of anatomy even tho I am doing less damage. This is because I spend less time running, removing curse/apple eating/potting etc. This is particularly noticeable in doom.

Well thats lame lol, I use a turquoise ring, the cloak, and the tinker leggings, and the 30 on my axe. Im at 182 stam even a tap drops me below 180 :sad4:. If I could have 400ssi on an ornate then I would be in business ;). Devs, add a new ore that can be used to enhance something for 10 more ssi :p.
