Endless Decanter of Water

To obtain, throw a full water pitcher at a water elemental (non summoned) there is a slight chance the elemental will throw back to the player a Endless Decanter of Water. The Decanter can then be linked to a water trough, as long as the player is within 5 tiles outside of a house or anywhere inside a house the Decanter will continuously refill itself. Live Event:

In the Shadow of Virtue: Rise of the Bane Chosen

Bane Chosen forces are battling the Ophidians in the lost lands. Players may join either side and the faction will reward them for their help. Both sides are most appreciative of players who push back the front line of the enemy (look for the army battle flag to find the front line). Speak with the recruiters in each faction camp to find out what they are fighting about. For each point of loyalty that you gain with a faction at war, you will lose 3 points of loyalty with their enemy so it does not pay to switch sides often. “Peril bonus” is a bonus to loyalty gain (and loss) when other players are assisting the enemy army. Double clicking the flag at each faction’s front line will tell you the progress of the spawn. Special quests are available at the faction camp when players reach 2000 loyalty to that faction. Special rewards are available if players assist a faction in routing the other faction from the field, but be warned, these armies are stubborn and will return! Quests are not available while a faction is routed. Patch 4.0.7.5 (Enhanced Client)

Well, I'm puzzled once more. Paid a visit to the ophidian lair on Origin and couldn't get any of the three recruiters to have a productive conversation with my character. All they would say to me is stuff like: "I s-s-shall not trade with you, s-s-strange one. We do not trus-s-st you." Or, "It is-s-s friend to us-s-s-s. I will trade with friends-s-s."

Screen shot below showing how it went with one of the recruiters. Tried to give one of them an extra power crystal in my pack since it mentioned wanting to trade, but all I got as a reaction was a message that you have to mark your quest items.

Another thread that discusses fter reviewing a thread about how this went on TC1 mentions a flag. Didn't see anything of the sort at the ophidian lair or maybe we ran past it?? Didn't look like anything there was fighting something else. No sign of bane chosen. The ophidians at the lair, though, definitely wanted to attack me and the pet.

Oh well. Guess I'm in the wrong spot and the recruiters must be for something other than what I think they're for.

Found the bane chosen camp. Found the (shifting) front line.

Gotta tell you EA guys though that the info being given out is almost too sparse. Decided to kill bane chosen instead of ophidians (must have developed a soft spot for them a few years ago or something). Don't really understand how my bane enemy point total is going up so fast but my ophidian loyalty total is rising soooo very slowly. Probably doing something wrong but too dense to figure it out yet.

Also, I have absolutely NO CLUE if I should be looking for something on the corpses of the bane chosen to save for later use. No clue at all. Also, the bane chosen corpses are terrible to loot with all that dragon armor. Maybe that's why everyone's fighting for the bane chosen, so they don't have to paw through their armor. Grrrrrrr.

The scoring messages are TOO long. If you have a way to shorten the text that would be great. My journal's just flying.

Last and final note: The lag is already noticeable on Origin and I only noticed a few people running around (maybe 6-7 at most). This is going to be one heck of a lag fest when it gets on a busier shard.

My first impression: This might be fun, assuming people don't act like jerks and do stupid stuff like pull spawn on top of other player's characters. I fully expect that to happen. Haven't seen even a hint of that on Origin yet though and don't expect to. Most people playing there seem to be pretty decent.

I was playing on the test shard. I was able to trade at 2,000. It maxes out at 2,500.

Not sure if this is new, but I have a female garg that wears altered snake skin boots, and when she is flying the boots look like they are on the ground and if I fly West or North, it leaves hoof print looking tracks.

First, and foremost, I'm not the only one who desires good fiction.

Second, I'm fairly certain that I haven't torn apart anything just for the sake of tearing it apart. Asking that the fiction have continuity, yes.

And third, if you believe that my asking for good fiction equates in some manner to "they might as well not bother," then we can take that stance with the entire game. If they do something poorly and people give feedback (or "tear it apart" as you like to call it), then they might as well just turn off the game now.

Except, you know, lots of us enjoy playing the game, hopefully they enjoy developing the game, and even if they don't, hopefully they enjoy the paycheck it provides.

Any one found out what these are or how you get them?

Also, someone mentioned to control the bane dragon you need to be a friend of the bane chosen. Can anyone confirm this?

The next question wil be, if that is the case...why would you want to help the ophidians? Surely there should be a unique reward to each side?

Bane get food for Bane Dragon, and Ophidians get three pots, I heard. Those are quests, specific to each side, and each quest requires an amount of Crystalline Blackrock (20 for the food, 10 for each pot I believe) and also 2,000 loyalty. However, each faction also has a chest, like the House Quest in Abyss, and the Book Quest we just had. You can get new arties from the chest, no matter what side you are on, but you need to beat the other side completely and also have enough points of loyalty to get a bag from chest.

Like I said though, I can't say much about the new pots, because after Ophidians invaded Delucia and Vesper I pretty much hate them. Banes4Life. Whatever they are.

I started my Sampire fighting on the Bane side, I gotta get the stew for my Bane Dragon. But Im gonna have my Mystic fight against the Bane at some point. I would like to get at least 1 of each item for collecting purposes. Of course I plan on getting quite a few Bane Dragons until I get the perfect one so I will need lots of stew lol.

You can Tame, control & stable them regardless of loyalty to either side (even neutral to both).

No. Human and elf characters can ride them immediately after they are tamed.

Indeed, as soon as Origin was up I logged my tamer on and went straight to the Bane Dragon.

This is good. Even though I wanna get out there and tame something new, I'd rather it sit on origins for more than a day or two.

I'm pretty sure you didn't miss anything. You just read spoilers posted by people who dug through recent patches and found new strings of text. Nothing about this has been mentioned in any "formal" publish or patch notes.

i'm hoping there's more to the potions. the shatter potion better do something else than just break a random potion, because that's hardly a fair tradeoff (unless it can break a stack, doubtful). it says crystal too, but i don't know anything crystal-related that it could be useful with. the fear potion is just a 3 second paralyse, again, hardly anything beyond novelty. now if it could effect a group, it could have some use, but it doesn't.

I guess a 3 sec para doesnt matter if trap box can break it but that's still sorta huge when a guy can bola/dismount and sleep etc hehe. I think the pots cost too much to be used that frequently though.

Some of the new gargoyle weapons are made of glass. Don't know if any of them are desirable PvP weapons though. Perhaps there's also a monster in the game, or coming soon, that uses glass weapons. Didn't look closely at the bane chosen to see what they use. And yes, I agree with you on wondering which side the devs want you to side with. The rewards seem out of whack. Were they thinking the PvMers would all want bane dragons and therefore need blackrock stew and the PvPers would want the potions to use in PvP? Were they trying to set up PvMers to fight indirectly against the PvPers with this event? I really can't figure out what the motivation is to join either side. Why get a bane dragon that you may not ever be able to feed again nor trade to another character because they may never be able to bond with it? And the potions just don't seem like they're worth the effort to get.
