Just being silly, since UO client has never had mount macros and now UO will, if cliloc strings suggest what will happen. People have to use UOA macros or third party right now. Now, mounted PvP will more accessible, putting banes, and everything else, under the microscope at a higher magnification. More people are thus likely to complain about the same sort of thing.

I really don't see this causing anymore a problem than already exist (If you even want to consider it a problem), Dreadmares already exist and from what I understand these will not be much different in strength. I have a tamer and look forward to these pets as I was retired during the event with dreads and the only one I own kinda sucks.

I think LordDrago has a point... maybe not well said, but still a valid point. It seems the OP is ranting about a tamer change without actually having tried it on TC, judging by linking to another thread. If the OP has actually tested it to see if it really is overpowered as claimed, then maybe he would have posted that valid and useful experience. Without that, it just comes across as another anti-tamer rant.

Bane Dragons have a Slayer Vulnerability, much better than Dread Mares which don't.

Not saying they don't both deserve nerfing (woohoo, triple negative!), but just giving exclusive access of overpowered pets to a select few doesn't exactly help things a lot.

Now the negative of it...you cannot med while riding it.

Lets be really honest now too...that template is not a big thing in pvp. At least not on GL. And the ones that do exist are actually easier to kill than other mystics.

Mystic mages spamming spell plague / magic arrow / nether bolt are worse than any tamer temp imo.

No I'm fairly sure it looses the poison ability upon taming. there is a post by lord god on tamer forum and UHall.

I dont think the dread mares are the problem okay they should be a bit nerfed in PvP, it cant be that a dexxer is doing much lower damage then a pet, because the dexxer is limited to 35 direct damage!! This is absolutly wrong and not good at all.

Another thing is the rescue of the pets, logout rescued, much too easy! No this shouldnt be the way! Everybody using a pet have to care about it and not logout and everything is fine, it is like ohh i got attacked logout and iam instantly hidden and teleported home

There should be a weapon which makes doubled or triple damage on pets like the former tribal spears.

It does poison and breath in the same attack. But the breath (against 70's) is in the 30-40 range not 60's. (Idk where people got 60's from but it wasn't me!)

The ones involved in the war were immune to low level poisons, and the tame ones are not, that is the ability loss I referred to somewhere.

You make it sound like you NEED a dreadmare to PvP. Which isn't the case at all... and you shouldn't exaggerate. Dreadmare are nice, but they're definitely not the end all. Invis clears the threat, and a GD will rip apart a dreadmare being run by most PvP tamer templates because they have no defensive, aka healing, ability. My dragon has turned multiple Dreadmares into barbequed horse steak.


I say they should just put 5 of every artifact special item ever put in game into a bag in everyones bank so we can all be equal! Because obviously, its not fair some have something and others don't. rolleyes:
