Template help

[Vortex]

I would have posted this to the professions forum but most of the people there do not understand the restrictions on Siege.

So, I'm looking for any opinions/suggestions on this template. The character would be mainly for making armor/jewels for my main but also for some pvm.

120 Imbuing
120 Tailoring
120 Mysticism
120 Magery
120 Med
120 Eval

Valid PvM template.
One soulstone to get Tailoring off and Spellweaving on and you are a very nice addition to any hunting group.

Nice, but you'll need 120 Focus too. Focus is now Mysticism's equivalent of Magery's Evaluate Intelligence, and You'' need Focus to maintain flight too. Without JoaT in Focus, short flights wear you out quickly if you have no stam regen.

Hey Night Stalker, good to see you posting!

Awesomely enough, focus OR imbuing act as eval. The benefit of having focus is you get mr and sr too. But for spell damage reasons imbuing is just as good as focus and fits his theme.

I stand corrected!

I didn't know Imbue was considered the same! Guess I can drop Focus back down to 30 for Flight

Yes on Gargoyle. Should be okay with no focus, ill make up with stamina regen. Or could do 80 med/40 focus - certainly cheaper than tracking down a 120 med Hmm...

Make armor to be lrc, lmc, mr, sr...

Love the tamer idea, but I've never really liked playing a tamer that much.

Same, but this way you can take on higher level mobs with your 2 crafting skills. If not for that I'd suggest a sampire, but...

Yeah, the more I think on it, the more I like it. I really wanted to work in Mysticism tho.

Think this would work?

100 taming
100 lore
100 vet
120 imbuing
120 tailoring
100 mysticism
80 magery

Crystalline Ring (dunno how hard this would be to get but it would get my Siege bless for sure) - that would give me +20 magery and +20 focus

Imbued Bracelet with +15 taming and +15 mysticism
LRC, LMC suit with mr and sr.

This would give me:
115 taming
100 lore
100 vet
120 tailoring
120 imbuing
115 mystic
100 magery

I think that could work well. Of course you couldn't use spells too liberally. Just enough to keep yourself alive if you're being swarmed. *edit* You could also drop magery down 5 and make myst 120.

Here's my question for you, Sir. Here on Siege we have a very active common area (i.e. Stratics boards) You have this outlet to get what you need, when you need it. Why don't you just create a pure pvm template? With a pure pvm template you can farm all the resources you'll need to craft your items and tackle some of the most difficult critters in the game.

Instead of creating some kind of crafter/fighter hybrid template, go for one or the other. IMO, with a pure pvmer (Sampire) you can gather all the resources, make gold, and acquire artifacts at a substantialy faster rate than any other template, especially a hybrid crafter/fighter temp.

Gather your resources and have the others imbue what your needing. That, IMO, would be the best method.

I don't get it. What's your weapon skill/defense? Crystalline Ring (Siege Bless) + Staff of Magi [cursed] / Swords of Prosp and only run 100 weapon skill/defense? Or were you not thinking weapon skill while farming on Siege Perilous...

Not worried about defense. If I get pk'ed, so be it. Anything can be replaced. Even with 120 weapon skill I wouldn't survive long on this template so why waste points worrying about defense?

I will probably run a blessed spellbook with SDI and mana regen 3 in my hands and the other hand free for pots.
