Truly....this is a stupid poll. It's like asking.....who used Magery on their chars.
No. Magery is a skill, not a skill set.
If you want to take it there, then this is asking who used eval, magery and meditation on their chars.

With boosts to monster loot, people should be more apt to go out and play rather than go out and survive.
I have stealth on my tamer but I want to point out that I use it to make it easier to get the peerless keys. I don't run it 90% of the time.
I used to run hiding/stealth on my main pvp character when I was pinging 180. Now that I have a decent connection, I dont run stealth (tho it is on a stone).

That's why I asked if you use the skills primarily. Not if you simply have them sitting on soul stones.
Mono- don't worry, you don't need to vote. We all know you run hiding/stealth... you even say you do in the other thread. Consider you counted.
The poll should have said "How many people here run the combination of Hiding, Stealth, and Ninjitsu.
If you ask me stealth should be more complimentary to non pvp templates.
Stealth it self really isn't the issue... It's the combination of the skill combined with other skills + Items...
If you look at the pvpers on Siege between 85-90% of them run Hiding, Stealth, and Ninjitsu.
Now when you combine those skill plus the instant smoke bomb/easy button it make for a pretty much impossible to kill opponent unless you're ganking them "hardcore" at that.
-You should not be able to just pop a smoke bomb and stealth off instantly...
-You should not wast 100 skill points into detect and once you finally reveal the target and that takes forever... The target should not be able to use skill and hide or instantly smoke bomb.
-Animal form and Flying!!! That **** should take up -3- Control Slots... That would take care of all the stealth tamers with Super Dragons. I'm not saying you shouldn't be able to run stealth and taming but it should be used for escape and not for 1000 hp tank for you to pvp with while you just stealth around in animal form.

The point of this poll is to gauge what % of sieges population is using these 2 skills.
I wanted to keep it as simple as possible. If you looked at the results and 90% of the population said they use hiding/stealth... that should raise a serious eyebrow. 70% should raise an eyebrow. Hell, even 50% should.

Most people train stealth to 75.
You can only train hiding to 100.
Skills like Magery, Animal Taming and the like are 110-120.
The averages for the top two skills will automatically be represented as lower even if the same number of players are running those skills.
It is not a good representation.
I'm sorry... but that is manipulating the issue to make it seem less than what it really is.
The minimum number of skills for any template player runs is 6.
You will notice that ninjistu, hiding or stealth is in the top 6 skills for EVERY guild listed by soul weaver.
You will notice that you cannot say that about a single other skill set.
Not mages. Not tamers. Not crafters. Not thievews. None of the other classes. That illustrates the percentage of players more than anything.

After 8 years of playing without it as a tamer mage. Yep. My tamer is currently working on becoming a gimp so I too can exploit the **** out of it!LOL... SP! has a higher hiding and taming averages than TnT! Blackrain... I notice you haven't voted that you also have a character that uses hiding/stealth.
I hope you know pointing out that I am doesn't help your point of view on this subject... lol.

On my main I have Hiding and Stealth, but he's mainly PvM/Crafter/Thief, depending on how I arrange my Soul Stones.

I think you are full of it. While there are lots who run hiding/stealth, many don't. It's definitely not 80% or more, except, perhaps among you and your guildmates.
You know (because you've pk'd me multiple times) that I run a normal disco tamer, a template which has no space for hiding/stealth.
I also run a crafter (with hiding sometimes depending on soulstone needs, but no stealth).
I also run a necro archer (again, no room for stealth or hiding on this template).
I also run a thief/assassin (definitely stealth on this template).
For me, that's 25%, not 80%. I'm guessing I'm not unusual, more like the average.

So far the poll is showing that 80% of the respondents play a character with hiding/stealth.
We've already had a couple people post in this thread who play chars with hiding stealth like Monolith so right now the numbers over 80%.

True, I'm terrible at PvP - so this whole 'passive detect' issue is a non-issue for me. Except that it also nerfs my thief - and I specifically came to Siege because it's the only place where a thief can still be played.
I think there are better approaches than implementing prodo-shard passive detect on siege. Prodo shard does a passive detect at EVERY-STEP of the thief, making even 20 detect almost impossible to get around - given the hiding timers.
A far better way would be to adjust reveal and active detect to be more effective against 100 hiding. If passive detect is implemented, it should only be checked every time stealth is checked - every 8 steps or so.

hell no, just cause im flying i shouldn't have to take up 3 slots unless they make all mounts 3 slots and the mage casting mounts take up all 5
