Dude the few devs that are left with UO are probably so overwhelmed with other BS chances are NEVER. I mean they gotta make sure every GM knows about the goza mat issues cause it's game breaking if you can't build a 12 level structure out of goza mats these days. I mean what fun is UO if you can't build a replica of the empire state building on top of the roof of your 18x18 out of goza mats?!?

I don't disagree with you persay, but as long as gold can be sold for real money there is no way to stop this type of spamming.
Alternately, maybe the GMs were busy buying some gold?
I can tolerate gold spamming if they would address scripting and PvP cheat tactics.

Well .. to be honest they not out ot sell UO gold. They are after the idiots who buy the stuff they put in the books and gold for so cheap to get CC info +. They want to rip you off for RL stuff not UO junk.
Gold last time I looked in the books I pick up and toss when I see them is running 45 cents to 50 cents.
As to how to get rid of them EASY stop asking for 50 mill per arty that there are tons of being gotten. Yes I know thats not gunna happen. But YOU DID ASK.
The mills your asking will drop to pennies as the player base gets smaller and supplies raise.

I would hope there is more of this. It indicates more interest in the game. When this completely stops means the game is dead as a doornail. Still the real sellers moved on a long time ago. If hes legit it's a good thing. Then I can buy gamecodes from him with gold while he sells the gold i give him for cash. Times are hard to keep a a gaming addiction going you know.Ridiculous.....
When are the Dev's going to do something about this and also the book spamming?

This is Atlantic and this particular criminal is a confirmed unattended scripters. He loves to drop books in the same exact places every single time… and as you pick them up to throw them away, he’s right behind you dropping them again. Books advertising a website, just like his unattended script advertising… a violation of the RoC.
We as vets make an investment in our younger/innocent fellow players by keeping these criminals away from their reach. Not this one, but I know another that does this that is a very well known hacker/scammer. You sure don’t want your PI addy falling into their hands.
Where do these guys get so much gold to sell? The same way they advertise it. They are running scripts to do other things to farm money… like when you are mining and see someone recall in and out, one spot to the next… and yet are unresponsive when they are clearly getting nothing in the trail of a live player.
To be apposed to enforcing the RoC and banning these criminals… is totally not helping our game and supporting the criminals.
If it takes signing up for a “Player Police” program, I’m all for it. Sign me up. The very least you can do is report these criminals and force some kind of attention. Even with the “blow off” responses we get, there is no excuse why the same people keep popping up time and time again. We don’t need detection software… we need live responses.
And we can't forget… every single victim of these criminals, costs our game membership. It should be offensive to every single player that wants to see UO last for years to come.
Need gold? Buy something tradeable from the game code store... for cash... sell in game. Its that easy. No need to support these criminals.

My turn. Man I must be bored. My Stocks are dead today. Ok I just want to clear out any confusing that your post might give to players that don't know any better with more detail on the workings of these situations. Well he is a scammer if you pay him money and he gives you nothing back. or rob you of your possesion by saying something dumb like I know you in real life can you give me your password so i can see your possesions lol. That's a scammer. I don't know if he does that. A scammer doesn't usually post link to a website that can be tracked back to him and domain info.

When you are mining you better be recalling in and out or am going to seriously have to give you a lesson in mining 101. I'll be more suspicious of the players walking around mining using pathfinding as that is very inefficient way to mine and would tire out any miner quicker. Besides where they get there gold are usually from vets like me. I buy there 90month game codes for 80 mil or so each. 90 month code cost like 38 dollars real life. As long as they sell the gold they have for more than 50cents a mil . So assuming they sell it for 75 cents per mil "being genorous" That's $60-38 = $22 dollars from my purchase for them to make non taxed profit from another buyer. Then the player who bought the gold uses it to buy products from the other players putting the gold back in the economy eventually coming back to me and once again pay for my gametime. A nice little circle. Farming gold died out in the earlie 00's Those that farm gold now are for there personal use.
They can do that as well if they like. But there are options. They have to buy from EA in order to sell to the players so EA gets there money no matter which way it's done. Just make sure that it's someone you can trust and not a real scammer. Someone with a good reputation and has come through in the past with others. That will take a little researching of course. Still the real big operations left a long time ago. These that are still here are really just players that find ways to pay for their time. Why would they bother with under a dollar in UO for a mil when you can use that time wisely in WOW for 4.95 per 1k if you were really in it for the cash.
