Problem with containers inside a backpack. (EC and 2D)

This am I was redeeming several spellbooks at the Brit library and had a problem involving containers not showing their proper contents. Specifically, a 12yr anniversary bag and a Valentines Day gift box inside the backpacks of two different characters. In both 2D and EC. As I would transfer contents or empty the pouches, the contents would not update.

One character was showing overweight even though I had completely emptied the pouch inside his backpack. When I "jiggled" the pouch his weight (and the weight of the pouch) then re-set and he could move.

I'm going to do a little more research on this and may post an update later but I'm interested in any other player's observations.

** Did more experiments **

Did some hunting and looted everything, and had no problems with regular pouches showing correct items/weight in both clients. Maybe it's just spellbooks, and/or special containers. I'll try again next time I get a large batch of spellbooks.

Not quite sure what you mean, was it not updating(reducing) your container weight while you were making spellbooks? spellbooks themselves have no weight, though do count as an item.

I was carrying spellbooks to the library in brit to turn in for the rewards. I would get a weight and item count. I had to use two characters to carry them all so they must register weight somehow. I'll fiddle some more... maybe it was the special containers... 12th Anniversary Pouch and Valentines Box that I was using to carry them... that's kinda a stretch though.

I'm not sure what the issue is, or if I understand the issue, what's the problem?

You had a client-side error not displaying the correct contents of a pouch, but you moved the pouch.. and everything worked fine? Is this right? What's wrong then?

Do note that the candy container is a bit ODD, as containers go.

It's actually ANIMATED, when set down.

Well, the problem was that I had emptied the container and was trying to leave and kept getting told I was too heavy to move... then I jiggled the container, it reset and I could go. Spellbooks definetly have a weight.

Basara... I was referring to the older velvet boxes, not the heart-shaped animated ones.

I haven't gotten back to my experiments yet though so I guess I'm the only one that has ever had this happen. Odd.
