Why must we all hang out in Luna Bank?

Why do we have to hang out here?

Why can't we go hang out at Brit Bank, or one of the banks in the new lands, or ANYWHERE other than Luna Bank? It's so crowded in there, it's almost impossible to trade, and you can't SEE anyone, because it's a massive wall of names. I know why we all LEFT Brit, but can't we choose something more conducive to community instead of that tiny, tiny boxy space?

I'm probably the only person on the whole Chessy shard that is bothered by it, but...I just thought I'd toss it out there.

The convenient MG killed the other towns, which all require travel time from MG to bank. I still use the MGs frequently on many chars. I'm with you, though, I "grew up" in Vesper and have loved many of the other cities, and would love it if they still had some life. But even so, I rarely go to them anymore because Luna is so active and convenient (plus we have the Lord Escu Museum there, now).

We can RECALL. How hard could it possibly be to push the button to get to the vendors. The loss of community is fail. Although, didn't I see a moongate AT brit bank? Maybe you can port out but not back in?

I do NOT hang out there. I go to the Luna bank like once a season just to see how high prices are going on things, shake my head... and LEAVE !

Was so bored I went to Brit bank fel side, just to wave to all the lizardmen in town, I only went to Luna to the teleporters by Luna there to get to Paxlair and then...
to try to go FIND YOUR HOUSE thus I went on a grand tour today.
Then I went back onto Siege to restock me vendors.

Oh do ya have SA now ? There are some spiffy house tiles in SA expansion.
I only upgraded one acct. of 4 to SA but I like the house tiles well some of em.

Brit Bank is ugly. I do not care WHICH bank we hang out at, I'm just saying any bank is better than being crunched up inside Luna Bank like a bunch of sardines.

I like Skara a lot. That's usually where I go to do my quickie banking.

maybe petition to revamp the Moongate system, it's been done before. remember when the gates were linked to the phases of the moons or something to that.... one would have to keep enter the moongate until you finally ended up where you wanted.... now you just pick and choose the location. Well maybe they can deactivate the current location and build new ones that are extremely convienient as Luna is. Could even turn it into a global event. Some sort of great magic force have taken over the moongates..... yadda yadda yadda

Wonder how successful petitioning something like that could really be. One would think it would behoove devs to spread out some of the load, and to encourage folks to be in the 'old lands' much like the new expac of WoW will encourage and entice people to do the same.

I'm not saying there will ever be a giant influx of people at any bank anymore, as 'general chat/trade chat' has made that almost unneccessary- however for those of us old schoolers who do enjoy bank sitting and socializing in between our normal activities, it would be so nice to do it at a bank that's more conducive.

Although- why is all that junk in and around brit bank these days?

i agree luna is stupid, the convience is nice and the vendors but its stupid. Brit bank as gareth said has been well, it didn't come out too good i cant personally stand to hang out there. The moongate near the bank tho is a winner. I like moonglow best but i dont see people leaving luna until there is a similar set up somewhere. The vendor houses will always draw a lot of appeal and with the ease of everything right there, including a moongate almost next to the bank, as well as a stable master, i dont see us changing. Perhaps we can try to fix britain, but i personally think its time for a whole new town. Plop a moongate next to the bank, one that can be reached from any other moongate, and i think you will start to see a shift. The random scorpion spawn was an effort to get people to stay out of luna i think, yet with all the ledges and such it ended up just making people teleport up on the walls. I think the 3 biggest appeals of luna are the ease of reaching essential npcs, the moongate and the vendors, so therefor to move us from luna we must create a similar area at another town. Thats what i think at least, im certainly ready for a new spot and some new music.

I don't even particularly care if we *stay* there, I just would prefer to have a more...open environment, if you will. I can't imagine a single dev on the face of the planet would give a crap about my suggestion, but sure would be nice.

thats kinda my point,, you can build it but they wont come..i dont know why luna is the spot nowadays i wasnt here when luna became the hot spot but im in agreeance with ya i think it should be someplace else,, i miss the WBB days looking at a line of dragons and mares, people spaming SELLING, BUYING, ect. iv been back a lil over a year now and thers quite a bit i miss.

Over time part of the reasons for a lot of the migration was also due to the dev. team when they created town invasions, they kept picking the same old world new world towns to invade and attack over and over again.

Brit, Minoc, Vesper, poor Moonglow, invaded myriads of times by solen ants and other invasions after that and on and on, some of these attacks invasions were fun for a while but some of them lasted too long. Folks packed up their banksitting and even their homes and moved em. Those towns remained ghost towns ever since. Even long after these attacks or invasions ended, it was by then too late, folks migrated off to banks of fav. cities once more and again, not inundated with orcs, solen ants, etc. etc. in some new story line plot, invasions.

And Magincia, how long it has been destroyed, only recently is supposed to become repaired.

Moonglow too, had a big hole in the ground even long after that last invasion, lookin all ugly.......folks leave find other towns to banksit at or conduct business or just go to cuz said newer city maybe has yet or never once been *invaded* by some dev. team storyline plot........yet !

While many of these storyline plots were supposed to be fun, they overstayed their welcome in the day to day routine of the locals whom had homes or banked there....thus folks moved elsewhere to bank or to slap up their next homes, leaving many an old world city tram and fel side still abandoned and forgotten by many & if not forgotten, just EMPTY so no one goes there any longer.

Maybe they won't come-- but maybe we could. Just because 'everyone' else isn't doing it, doesn't mean that we can't set our own traditions. And it's quite possible that with global chat there to get everyone connected, that others will follow our example.

As I mentioned before, everyone is just one silly recall away from the places to shop. It's not like WoW where it takes 18 minutes to fly wherever the hell you are going-- all it takes here is one single quick spell.

I'm saying- let's move. All of us. We don't care to 'hang' at Luna- we are just following the crowd like a bunch of silly teenagers, so let's not do it anymore.

I'd choose brit, but honestly all that crap they added. I hate it so much. Let's take a vote!

At Luna, I can bank and shop the mages without going overweight. This is so much more convenient than watching my weight and cash in other areas.
Not to mention the convenient moongate. I realized how much easier it is at Luna especially when using a vendor's teleport crystal to get to that central hub.

I too hate Luna Bank. On Atlantic West Brit Bank was active untill the invasion. Id like to see it come back, although numerous attempts have failed. Theres so much more space, you can go in the bank for privacy, and theres room for tamers to have pets off to the side. At luna tamers either have to have their pets outside of the bank, where no one bothers to lore them, or anger everyone by blocking everything with a huge dragon. You could also level up fishing, and lumberjacking a bit a brit. If some of the "Banksitters / sellers" would just move back it would revive Brit. And luna is still right there via the gate if you need to get to your vendor.

Boycott Luna! Come back to Britain!

It would be so easy to do. And to be perfectly freaking frank, Luna is ugly now, with the ridiculously silly vendor homes there, etc.

Again, I can't stand all that clutter they have at Brit now, but yes--we should definitely revive.

Because people are inherintly lazy and Luna has all everyone needs at arms length.

Also there are no people in any other towns because noone is allowed to place housing there. I know you said zento was empty when u went there yesterday but there are active people and vendors there time to time, though still its not a hot spot.

This is why I'm not looking forward to the rebuild Magencia event as what is the point if after it's built noone will go there.

In the end if you want people out of Luna you would probably need to destroy it.
