Stupid Miner,

I started collecting info over the weekend on some of the Abyss creatures. Tonight I can send you what I have so far (I have a way to go before I'm finished) but had a couple of questions:

1) The info I have so far is in an Open Office spreadsheet (*.odt file). Is that acceptable? If not, I can save it in MS Office Excel format as a *.xls file. Let me know which you prefer.

2) How many readings of a particular creature type are you looking for? I probably have at least 4-5 readings on the creatures I've surveyed so far.

Also, a while ago I tried to lore forgotten servants (one of the creatures on your list) but I'm pretty sure I got the message "That's not an animal!"

Just a general reply to anyone. Send the info to Petra and/or me, but mostly Petra.

2 is the minimum that'll give us a good idea for the spread of the stats, but 1 is a lot better than zero.
More than 5 isn't necessary, unless for precision for tameables.

and I wasn't really expecting the Forgotten Servants to work, mostly wishful thinking

I'm pretty sure the Skeletal Dragon [Renowned] is also found in Ilsh, I forget what the cave is called. I'm not sure why it spawns there, but it's the only Renowned that spawns outside of new expansion lands to my knowledge.

you can find them in ratman's cave in sacrifice. my bushido swordsman kills them many times. but the loot is not good

Something odd called a Cursed Metallic Mage

Spawns with Niporailem... not sure what conditions, I've only seen one spawn out of several times killing Niporailem, and it spawned after he died.
Was a Grey Skeletal Mage, not too tough.

And, if so what format? Excel? Notepad? Word?

All of the undead that spawns from Nip are the result of you shifting the gold piles in your pack, dropping them, or sometimes Nip just randomly spawns them around a target, I thought. Not sure on rarity of names or colors but I do believe none of those undead critters have any loot.

I've gotten 4-5 readings on the gray goblin types and gargoyle shades, 1-2 on the greens, and one reading on the renowned wyvern. Also some extra readings on iron beetles and wolf spiders.

Something happened to me just now I've never seen before. A Wolf Spider, once "owned" by a Goblin Keeper, was not used by the Keeper before I killed him. I recalled out, the Wolf Spider just sitting there, stupid.

I came back in, ran back to Brightwhistle (I'm trying to get the damn talisman on a dexxer, rofl), and the spider aggro'd me this time, except, instead of putting up a fight, "The creature sacrifices itself!" ... wow. So it basically killed itself and opened pockets of venom on the nearby floor which damaged me.

I wonder if this is a trait Wolf Spiders have only when commanded by a Goblin Keeper? Even though his was long dead.

Holy crap! I finished the quest and got an Owned by no one Goblin slayer, woot, hahaha

I basically copied everything off the pet gump into my spreadsheet, although I probably should have also gotten fame/karma/loot info too, since that info is included in the Hunter's Guide.
