just a hope, I read so many posts here of players saying they will return if scripting is sorted out, of ocurse i have now way of telling if they will, just a hope

i must say i don't venture around as much since SA came out, jsut love all aspects of the expansion

but i do get sickened when i see small 7x7 plots with heavy chests(1,2 MILLION STONES) tucked right out of the way with mutliple chars recalling in dumping (dropping Blackrock in piles outside, as per script instruction i might add, i KNOW cos i have read the script in the site we cannot say!) recalling away, rinse and repect LIKE CLOCKWORK.
i proved something was wrong in the past as i stood on the recall spot and with my second acct found the miner spamming recall for at least 20 mins while we waited for a GM, of course the miner and the chest are long gone, soon the small house will fall

You caught that one but how many legit miners where checked out before you found that one. There is a reason that that's a polpular script. it's because it's the best way to mine. Mining is a repetitive task. You mark your spots according to amount of digs it gives and how many spots you can reach without moving. You find these and never share it with others as it's a long process and are worth alot. Once these are marked you record your macros on Uoassist or EC. recall dig dig dig dig how many strikes it takes to empty recall next spot repeat. By then you know how many before you know your heavy so you unload in packy,firebeattle or home. Place a macro for home mixed in with shovel macros so that you don't waste space. Once home you don't want to walk for every recall back as this takes more time out of mining so you leave a container of some sort on steps. Unload. Never need to actually move saving you alot of time and only press a few repetetaive buttons like in LOST and that button that guy had to press every so many minutes while watching tv.

There is nothing faster than that type of mining this is why scripts were made to copy this. Other scripts are made to copy the most efficient method of gaining skill or moving or whatever.
Once i had someone block me with a crate. luckyl i had another rune near by so i recall there saw the crate and the guy grabed the crate and handed it back to him telling him i believe you droped this. Sadly players like this can't be reason to or shown proof so he continue to accuse me and the foul language that came out his mouth was definetely bannable. Another case of do what I say and not what I do. Following the rules he wishes to follow and ignoring the others.

So even though you do catch some you are no doubtly eventually accusing some innocents in your search. As to actually confirm someone you need to actually stalk the person to make sure

UOKaiser, i page when i am sure (in my mind), i don't go out looking for scripters, i come across them in my travels, ooops supposed scripters, if i can be bothered i will take a min to see, if it looks sus i spend a bit more time. If i am wrong and someone is disturbed by a gm then,well sorry


but like i said above i got him/here without doubt, funny though, NOT ONE PERSON has explained to me that that person was not cheating


It looks like for that one instance a scripter was removed, of course prob a temp acct, but i got him/her

like th eheartwood scripters, WE all know thay do it, people try to defend them, or attack the pagers, but WE all know, and i am sure the people flaming the pagers are in fact the heartwood scripters.

i am NOT accusing people here that are adding to the debate of being scripters themselves.
but i am concerned thast they do not seem to want scripters removed from the game

I just saw his publish 66 info. Heh combined the eventual end of PVM and the elimination of scripting accounts which is a whole lot more than they can imagine. This is going to be so interesting. Lets see who is right those who said that players will return or those who say from the loss of all the accounts heading to freeshards Uo will not be able to stay afloat. Im personaly getting ready to start giving out my stuff and consolate things just incase am somehow wrong and a miracle happens. Am not staying on the titanic to save the girl, Im heading to those lifeboats. I'll come back if it doesn't sink. Though i'll be watching what happens with a steady eye. This is exciting....

My opinion on this, If scripting is 100% removed the negatives for me override the postives.

Negatives?

- Resources far more expensive
- No luna search sites (okay I lived without them before, but now they exsist they are VERY helpful)

Positives?

- Everyone will come back because UO is scripter free (so people say, I really doubt it though)

I don't PvP so no positives from a level playing field there.. I'll think some more positives soon, I'm sure.

luna will still have the best turn over I think due to location and ease of getting to the vendors, But if it works I may start my venders back up and may be able to compete now!

wasting GMs time? when was the last time a GM did something semi-useful? What he did is making the GMs do their job because for some reason 95% of the time you page one, they send an automated response. If you page to fix something stuck in your house they fix it and leave you alone, years ago they would come down and show themselves and have a nice conversation with you and such. These days GMs only take action against people using racial slurs. So basically, they do nothing and i applaud everyone that doesn't respond to someone talking to them and getting a GM involved because GMs need to do more then send auto messages

Its much more than pvpers and gold farmers.. It's the majority of every pvm guild I've ever been in too. Damn near everyone it seems.

I don't think Publish 66 will ban anyone.


I think they'll simply make it so that these programs just will not work.


As an example, it could be as simple as the client shutting down whenever said programs are detected.


There are many methods, and they will probably leave it up to the scripter to decide if UO is worth playing anymore now that they can't script.


This seems like the smarter method for addressing cheating while maximizing the retention rate of the userbase.
