Last night after the complete pwnage we received in Despise, I realized I needed to set up my macros/hotkeys.
I'm running the enhanced client right now, mainly for the better resolution options on my widescreen monitor, but also because of the little hotbars this version gives. So, I'm clicking away trying to set my macros up by myself (anyone who knows me is laughing at this point. For a chick who has gamed so long, I am absolutely helpless when it comes to setting up macros. Normally, my husband has to come over, set them up, bind them to the keys and then point at them) and after much clicking around I'm realizing none of the G15 buttons on the side of my keyboard are working.
Hmmm.
Whining ensues.
"Jaaaaay...I can't get the things on the side of my thing to work."
Sentences like the one above are common themes in my home. Somehow, my husband generally can figure out what the heck I'm blabbering about in seconds flat. He glances across the desk at me and nods. Obviously, he has no freaking idea what I'm talking about, because he's partially deaf and partially humoring me.
Moments go by. I'm still slamming buttons around on my G15. I'm irritated by this time, but in desperate need to continue working on my peacemaking (don't ask) and so I just decide to hotkey the macro to F1.
Like 10 minutes later, my husband looks up across the desks at me, "Yes, darling?"
*blink blink*
"Um- I can't get the G15 keys to bind to my macros. I think my keyboard settings are messed up or something-- and I know I did it correctly because it worked on the F1 key."
He replies to this with a noncomittal "hmmmm".
A bit later he mentions that other UO players are having issues with their G15s and the like on the enhanced client.
THIS IS FAIL!
Anyone found any G Keyboard that DOES work? Anyone found a way to MAKE them work?
