That's kind of my setup though I use a KVM switch to switch between my pc's and servers. Also I have a 37 hdtv in the backgroubnd connected 2 my second card where my third monitor is connected to have a better view. I do need to get some larger lcd though and the desk I use is a L shape clear glass desk. I don't like wood desk for some reasson.

No one has to speak in the game, If they want to craft at the bank in peace it's their choice, To assume silence = scripter is just stupid.

If they are crafting in the first place it's very likely they wouldn't see any speech because of the large windows.

I often don't reply to players; i just watch them ask dumb ass questions and say dumb things. It actually brings the uo experience down to talk to certain people and answer all their noob questions. I talk to all my friends in vent and chat that way. Call me a scripter or whatever. I answer gm pages occasionally due to this approach but so what. I cannot stand interacting with some of these tools.

You know, it's like this.....there's a certain mentality in the game, I've realized this.....if you don'y say anything, wham, you're a scripter. Before you know a GM comes along wants to see your ID, your papers, ...oooops, different topic.......seriously, to avoid the BS and aggravation, I can and will say "hey"

I look for IDOCs sometimes.. and it's pretty funny to see people jump out of their house as soon as you come on screen because they don't want you to page on them when they're there.

For one thing, talking while using the EC can break your macro. Some, but not all. Depends on what you're doing.

There is a huge difference between players macroing skills in their houses, and scripters. Stupid people who report people for macroing skills in there houses need to get a life and stop ruining the game.

Over the past week or so, after getting an 18x18 plot outside Zento, I have had a person come by my house and page on my inscription character, for being in the house and working it up. They never even said anything to me, just paged. I have two accounts so I usually macro skills on one in the background while playing the other. Note I position the screens so I can still see chat on the background one.

Regardless, I got lucky and a GM actually came to see if I was there, and I saw his chat. This has happened about 3 times now in the past week, so the next time I saw this person run by, stop at my house, and run the parameter, I paged on them for harassment.

Haven't seen them since.

Whats more amusing is that I use the basic EC and where it has macros that you can loop 10 times, and put lots and lots of repeating lines in one loop, eventually it will end. I also haven't found a decent way to macro crafting, so for crafting I have to check every so many mins, or even seconds with my inscription person since she doesn't have huge mana reserves.

Some people will just never grow up.

what i find amazing is people here are allowed to attack and belittle those that report "suspected" cheats

these same people(may) have friends that actively cheat and script, and admit that knowledge on icq, yes they still attack those that report (fact)

is this a method of trying to get the problem players out the way

this is what i do what i am exploring the land.

if i see many players recalling and moiving to the same tile, same speed, like clockwork, jump off a moving beetle...
if i see a house with boxe son the steps with insane amounts of weight in it i will take notice.....
trapped tamed or wild animals used for training......

if i see a player following a routine pattern, that looks to be looping continuosly i will watch in stealth and make up my mind, i ONLY report if i am as sure as i can be that something is afoot

if i see things like this, i.e people following instructions as to how to "run" a 3rd party prog i WILL make it known (also i spend time reading the script sites, i find it quite fun reading the instructions and matching the script to the player) sad, yes i suppose but makes me SURE

this also helps with the monotony of idoc searching, i aslo gate friends in aswell to observe and get their opinions, just to be sure
if you get a ban, GOOD

Jack makes a very valid point, and one I agree with. I would only page on someone who I'm pretty darn sure is scripting.

Such as the case with a house on one of the islands in Felucca I found a while back, there were four players there scripting, I watched them for 20 minutes, called my friend in for his opinion as well. I also showed myself, spoke, went in to war mode, summoned a daemon, and not once did they do anything other than what they were doing when I originally came across them. A small box house with no deco, one entrance, private. All the tell-tale signs of someone scripting on a few accounts.

Thankfully after a few hours, the page was answered. Now the house is gone.

It's people like you that make me craft while hidden in my house. When crafting I can't see anything past all of the menus and containers/packs I have open so I can fill bods or do whatever. I most likely won't notice you, and 9 times out of 10 can't see the red lettering that is the GM's speech because of my color vision. So.......I will continue to craft while hidden, and will continue to ignore everything else while I'm doing it, since I can't see past the menus. Please feel free to leave me the **** alone while I'm doing so. :gun:

I did read the whole thread (not post). I also know that regardless of what you may think and/or say, these vigilantes that you are praising so highly have paged on me before, and caused me undue troubles because of it.

But thats illogical. We all know it's imposiible as examples of all online games out there. But we also know it's completely illogical to beleive enough players would return to even make a difference. People come back cause the game not any other reason. If they like nostagia and don't mind paying for it they would be here already. As long as there will always be free alternatives for the old school nostagia people then there is no justification to come back to a game with a dwindling population.
As we know there is alot more pvm players than pvp players. Though because the changes lately this will eventualy not be true anymore. PVM players are less concern what other do than pvp players. They only few people actualy returning would be pvp players and there be very few.
This is the most logical conclusion anybody can come up with. Having faith and wishful thinking does not change the basic logic of every underlying cause in the UO world.
The ones who hated AOS are gone never to return which was the majority of the PVP players. PVM came in and took over the subscription numbers. They will also be gone once they cap out as well. Not enough new players to ofset numbers. Once loss of profit of 1 quarter cut backs will be done. 2 quarters layoff,3rd quarter subscription raises or more item sales,4th quarter straigt would equal plans to shut of all cost including extra sservers. Eventualy another loss and they might close it down completely. Though we still making some profit so we continue to go. EA acc mngs only care about numbers they have no emotional ties to anything UO and will force the DEV to do things to see if things go better in turn probably ruin more of the game in process.

Oh well we will see eventually. We still have content to keep us occupied for at least the remainder of this year.

just a hope, I read so many posts here of players saying they will return if scripting is sorted out, of ocurse i have now way of telling if they will, just a hope

i must say i don't venture around as much since SA came out, jsut love all aspects of the expansion

but i do get sickened when i see small 7x7 plots with heavy chests(1,2 MILLION STONES) tucked right out of the way with mutliple chars recalling in dumping (dropping Blackrock in piles outside, as per script instruction i might add, i KNOW cos i have read the script in the site we cannot say!) recalling away, rinse and repect LIKE CLOCKWORK.
i proved something was wrong in the past as i stood on the recall spot and with my second acct found the miner spamming recall for at least 20 mins while we waited for a GM, of course the miner and the chest are long gone, soon the small house will fall

Exactly. I used the EC to craft, when crafting I MINIMIZE my chat window all the way as i have no use for it and want my screen for bags/menus etc. I have Team Speak to talk to guild members as we rarely use guild chat in game anyways.

My warrior is outgoing, by nature, somewhat of an egotistical ahole at times. But my crafter is a naive, quite person who wont reply to anyone unless he is in need of supplies. He is so lonely he depends on his mage friend to sell his wares in Luna.

I once seen a post the other day about someone recalling into the Cavern of the Discarded. From the facts the poster presented the person was obviously scripting. PAGE ON THEM. But if i am at the smiths, or even more IN MY HOUSE, bug off and leave me alone.

If i am ever to be considered "unattended" its because i turned my head for 2 seconds to change the pampers on my kids. Anything more and i stop what i am doing in game.

Thank you to the poster of this thread for bringing this up. Sometimes there are scriptors that would use this as a ploy to prove innocence but WITHOUT any other facts other than "They didnt say hi back to me Mr GameMaster! They must be scripting!" Then it is a bunch of BS to page.

i think many people are fed up with scripting and the lack of action and i sure ea let it go because of subscription so how about a partial solution,
ea give an amnesty to banned accounts but then and this is the nice part, they police the community more effectively actively rather than passively.
