So you start with 5 character slots, you can buy the 7th character slot, but where do you get the 6th character slot from? I noticed all but one of my accounts have 6 or 7 slots, but one only has 5.

From an anniversary issue. 8th I believe.
I only buy expansions, so I have an account that still only has 5 slots. 2 accounts got up to 6 by being an early beta tester on ML. I'm not sure that was intended or an accident they decided not to fix.

So I have to buy the anniversary edition (is that even on sale?) to get the 6th slot?
Nope, if you buy the 7th slot from uogamecodes it takes you up to 7, regardless of whether you have 5 or 6 now.
Sometimes you can find a 9th anniversary box being sold. You might try searching websites such as Gamestop or Amazon. The box costs $19.95 retail unless you get lucky and find one in a discount bin. It might just be easier to go ahead and get the 7th char from gamecodes.
Its cheeper to get the 7th char slot and 40% invintory expansion for bank and house in the long run..

If you goto the right side of stratics board under uogame codes you should find it...

No, everyone can have 7 slots, its not time specific, you can buy it at any time.

So, for the record, you would rather buy everything than earn it?
You do not earn things like stat cap increase or skill cap increase, its automatic, regardless of whether you play or what you do.
Especially for those who got it when it came out, they already were old enough to get it, so none of you worked for it at all, you just got it.
(oh and for the record, I earn my money, so anything I buy for my money I have earned)
