I am here to say goodbye to all my board friends and all my friends that I made across many worlds. You all have been good friends and that is what I am thankful for the most. This makes me sad. A couple weeks ago I was saying it would be good to get your opinion on what you would think would have been good disincentives to pking on a classic shard. Now I read this. I wish you well, and I will miss the kittens you would always have as your avatar and sigs.

Ohh and don't mind the jerks. I always admired how upbeat you would be regardless of how many people jumped on you for your beliefs about pk's and what-not.

Way too funny, and the laugh ? Well, that was greatly needed on my part. Really too funny.

And thank you all so much for the farewell. In a few days, I will be deleting all that is uo from my computer. This way, it just simply wont hurt so much, and trust me, the hardest thing was to give away my castle, fully loaded and one tower, fully loaded. The three things I kept on my character was the engraved wedding rings and the two roses with the name of Falford and Advantium. The ring was engraved a very long time ago, and although I wont play again, I know those are in a safe place.

Meanwhile, have fun in uo, because it is still an awe inspiring game, at least to me anyway.

Well, thank you for your posts to me. I won't ridicule you, you did a good enough job at that with your posting.

As far as selling? Not interested, ever to sell pixels. I gave the houses to a wonderful couple, and I removed three houses at various locations, one of which someone found and placed a house of their own.Two are still empty, and I am sure they will fill up soon too.

My leaving opened up 3 plots. There is no drama here this time around, only the drama your creating.

And I honestly think that I have outgrown uo and it was and is time to either quit gaming or find other games to play. I still have lotro and am having a blast with it when I can play, and Istaria. Meanwhile, take it easy and have fun is the only advice I can give anyone. Simple as that.

I stopped playing around AoS, and came back about 3 years ago. (I am a taming freak... and UO has the best taming of any mmo) So I will not give up hope that you may return someday, but take care of yourself ok?

Well you know I tought about it for a while before hitting submit... as Petra would say I reflected on if the person would knock my teeth in if I was there, and a resounding no came back very clearly in my conscience.

Everytime someone leaves UO noisily I feel like a part of me is ripped off and given to the dogs of war.

I genuinely feel that noone with a heart should come out in public and do this, and especially do not mention to their best friends that they're going to play LOTR instead.

People can hardly figure out the level of pain I'm enduring everyday, turning the knife in the wound is truely unnecessary.

I wish you well Peaches. I had to go through a similar experience after my car accident forced me out of work so I know what you're going through. If you ever need any direction on who or where to go to for assistance let me know. There is help out there for those that are willing to put forth the effort to ask for it.

I hope they give more than a week to returning players. Over a week I can only play a handfull of hours and so a week time for some can mean merely a few hours in the game again.....

A whole month would be cool, I think, and enough for returning players to figure out if they want to stick again with UO for sometimes......

Though I do not know you, I can tell from accolades you have received here that you are an honorable and kind person. For that, I regret that it is my loss that I never had the chance to call you a friend.

I wanted to share something of my own story with you.

Starting back in 1997, I played UO and found a great many friends (including my wife). Then around 2000, all of my friends had moved on, my guild (G*B- Guardians of Britannia) had all but disappeared as well. I left UO. When doing so, I placed as much as I could into the banks of my characters.

In 2004, I returned to the lands. While much had changed, and I had lost my houses (I had 5 on my account). But, I had my characters and the stuff in their bank. Which allowed me to get back into the game quite quickly.

I would offer as advice that you do the same thing. One can never tell what the future holds, and the lands of Britannia would be Blessed should you happen to walk them again.
