When I go to click on the announcement I am immediately told that Stratics links to a malware site called game902.com and I cannot progress further. What the heck is up with this? Stratics got infected again?
Following a protracted discussion it has been decided that Stratics Trade Forums will be restored to their original function, that of allowing trades of game items for game gold only.
This means that account trades, with their attendant security issues, will no longer be permitted on our network.
Transactions already in progress at this time may be completed, but no new threads may be posted for account trades.
In addition the regional trade boards will be closing on 17th May, 2010 to be replaced by the return of shard trade boards, these will be a subforum of each shard discussion board. There will be an overlap to allow existing trades to be completed, but please post new trades on the relevant shard trade board when they open.
Hmmm... That would sound good if it were not already 80 degrees here.Ugh Petra, don't be stressed. I've got some amazing Mexican hot chocolate, would you like some?
Depends on your definition of "warmth" - the original hot chocolate recipes from the Aztec & Maya used ground hot peppers as a catalyst, as the active ingredient in those interacts with the chocolate and your taste buds to make the chocolate flavor really "pop", without actually having any of the pepper flavor. "Mexican" recipes (and there are variants of brownies and chocolate cake mixes as well) retain the ground peppers.I would love hot chocolate, but I think it would be something less than lukewarm by the time it arrived![]()
yum yum mexican hot chocolate cottage cheese....I would love hot chocolate, but I think it would be something less than lukewarm by the time it arrived![]()
~Someone told me we have hot chocolate here! Where do I get a cup ;-)
No kidding rofl. I was just thinking the same thingso is Stratics more concerned about hot chocolate or getting rid of the virus? someone posts that there is a virus and 6 hours later someone posts that it is still there. what's the problem?
Don't be so Butt Hurt.Since I am not a technician there is little, personally, I can do about such problems other than pass them on, which I did immediately. What else would you have me do?
I had no idea they could sing "I Believe In Miracles" in Spanish!!Ugh Petra, don't be stressed. I've got some amazing Mexican hot chocolate, would you like some?
Cetric, forget the hot chocolate, you seriously need to go smoke some weed. You'll be happier for it, I promise you...Don't be so Butt Hurt.
Let me feed it to you this way, i am an IT person, and we recently had a nasty virus outbreak in my company. People see this sort of thing and panic.
Now what if there was the nasty virus outbreak, people are wondering if they should use their computer(your site) or not, and the billing office walks by the break room, and the entire IT department is in there, joking around, talking about the hot chocolate they have. While there is a problem.
Granted, you are not the technical people, but you are who the Stratics users see as the people things need to be reported to. Many users don't see a Moderator as someone who just double checks posts, but someone who is responsible for things on the site they are moderating. I agree that all you can do is pass along info, but part of your job as a moderator is to do just that, moderate. Your moderators were trolling a forum with useless information, while users read this post, looking for an update...essentially to feel secure on the site you are moderating.
Make sense?
Hey now, im just playing the role of the bitchy 65 year old accounting lady who needs to retire, and always finds something to pancake about... especially with technology.Cetric, you seriously need to go smoke some weed. You'll be happier for it, I promise you...![]()
