T-Map Runebooks

Hey everyone,

I am posting this for a new person to our shard who moved from Chessy. He is looking for some T-Map runebooks that he can buy or if anyone has spares they might be willing to part with.

I recently returned, transferred here from Chessy like mentioned. I'm looking for a guild as well. some people to work through the newer content with since i seem to die way to often.

Seems like the guild recruitment thread is long dead, and the various people i have sent messages to on icq never return the message.

I played from T2A until after SE. i have been away a couple years, but have returned and plan on staying for another 7 year stretch.

so here i am begging for friends

I might have some T-Map books, my big problem is my hubby used to do the T-hunting, so I am hoping I have all of them. I am missing one book but I can easily fill it out for you. I will give you a shout when I have it done, and hopefully I have what you need

Oh, and I don't think you will have to beg for friends, I think a lot of guilds would be happy to have someone like you on board. *Pokes the guilds with a stick*

If you need to remark any runes, or go without books, the THB house has updated Stratics/THB system books for Trammel, at the crossroads by the Desert of Compassion. It's a sandstone house right next to that funky 3-legged guard house over the intersection.

The Fel books, and the upstairs Goodman series books, haven't been updated, though.

why do you say the books upstairs havent been updated? did they do something to make that nessacary?

cant understand why after all these years they changed ore randomization. guess they finally got tired of ingot dude eh?

Big time attempt to thwart the scripters, it is such a pain to get ore now. I find that no matter where I go or when, I only get iron...GAH!

I am guessing the runebooks worked? I am so happy! Now if we can just find you a good guild! Don't forget Cherri made the offer for you to go with them on their hunts. She is the poo!

The books upstairs are the Goodmans system, and I don't like that system enough to go through the trouble of updating the books. Similarly, I don't feel like taking the risk to update the Fel books.

Amen to that, I only gave him Tram ones I didn't have the gumption to get Fel ones together. I was lucky I had some Tram ones from an IDOC and I only had to create one book myself.

I think the RivenMyst rune libary near the Ter Mur moongate also has some treasure map runebooks. I've never opened them to see what's inside, and have no idea if they are as up-to-date as THB's.

Thank you gortman for mentioning the Rivenmyst Village rune library. I did not realize that the tmap locations changed, so I will have to update those.

Not changed, as much as we realized, about 5 years ago, that the "official" spots for Goodman's and THB often differed slightly from each other, so as a Treasure Hunter's Forum group project, we went out and reconfirmed all 200 spots (and discovered there might be another, undocumented, spot on one of the islands between Britain & Trinsic, as two maps at the known spot there, looking identical, can come up 4 or 5 steps apart - not of the other spots have that much variation). We updated the UOAM files, and in the process, I added the Goodman's numbers to the .map file to go with the THB system numbers already in place (which also works with UO Cartographer - see a sticky in the TH/Fishing forum for the file data).

The late Goodman's system has 201 numbers, because he accidentally counted one spot twice, and had to delete a number along the way. Trammel books typically have 190 runes, because 191-200 in that system are the Ocllo (levels 1-5) & Haven (level 0 Youthful maps from the old defunct quests when done as "young") sites. In fact, several of the Haven sites are now open water, after the explosion.
