What ever happed to honorable dishonorable reds?

Someone REALLY didn't think today's quest through. I don't mind fighing and getting killed by monsters... but getting ganked by reds over and over. Where is the honor in rez killing? What ever happed to reds killing you then taking your stuff then rezzing you? ESPECIALLY when you are on an island and can't get off.

Today I even left goodies on me just because I knew I was going to get killed. You would think they would rez after that. Riduculas.

Very poor thought out quest in my oppinion.

The problem with people who do this quest is that they KNOW what they are getting themselves into, but they are having "invincible syndrom" until they get there. Why not go with a group of friends and fight back? It's really not that difficult.

Or I guess you can cry, but I'm 100% sure the Developers knew EXACTLY what they were doing.

I love comments like this... This was a code some on siege and VERY FEW on production shards played by. I know when I was up to these type of antics, I never thought about honor. This like a previous poster stated is all in your head. It never was like that on any scale whatsoever.

I'm not forcing anyone to play the game. You are forcing yourself into these situations and you cry when they don't go your way. You are the definition of a "carebear."

You are not forced to get the book
You are not forced to go to Felucca
You know the dangers of doing to Felucca.

You have to weigh your options here (****! Weighing options? You can't have everything you want?! This is starting to sound like you MIGHT have to make a choice!). Do you want to chance going to Fel and getting your pink arse handed to you on a platter, or do you want to play it safe and hug your beautiful daisy fields?

And for the record, I'm a roleplayer. I don't do Felucca stuff anymore.

Felucca WAS UO before the creation of Trammel. We that started at the beginning grew up in that environment, without insurance and we learned to thrive. No one forces you to go to Fel but the reds are restricted from leaving fel. So, in my opinion, the devs were doing their job and providing an opportunity for EVERYONE to participate in some part of this event/quest. Trammel based players will most likely have all the other quests so I think it is fair that we give the reds this one.

There were 2 playstyles made. Simply because some folks didn't like the now day ChIlDrEnS style of game play. Thus Trammel was born. Why they would force Trammel gameplay folks to be pushed into a pvp style is beyond me. If they wanted Fellucans to do this quest then they should have made it for both facets. Shame on them...

With that being said.. we did get a group together a few times. I stayed there for about an hour to help those that needed to finish the quest today. However, we got over ran a few times.

This is UO, and in UO there is PvP and PKing that takes place. the quest only took you to a part of the game you don't like playing. You're not forced to love every aspect of the game, but this is in fact part of UO.

And this is why Tram to me was a bad idea, it's pretty much two groups of people (tram players and fel players) playing on pretty much two different servers, on two different games anymore.

When tram was first born people went there to do their trading, then came back to fel to live. I still think they should have just made a big town with tram rules instead of two worlds that would drive us apart.

back to the point, YOU decided that doing the quest was WORTH the problems you would face while doing it. You make that choice while doing anything in game. So if you decided that it was worth it, why are you complaining about it? I haven't done a single quest ever, why? It's not worth my time. But you don't hear me complaining "Make quests worth MY time!!!!".

I realized that those who boast about their PvP skills aren't invincible at all, and not even too skilled PvPers, despite their insane faction equipment.

Anyway, we all know how things work in Felucca. If we go there, get reskilled, ganked, looted dry, we should not complain about it. The Felucca PvP system encourages this behavior, and of course most people play by it.

It is the reason why most players avoid Felucca altogether, which is a pity. But if the PvP system isn't overhauled completely, Felucca still will be inhabited by nobody but a handful of l33t gankers a few years from now (I'm exaggerating here, but I think you get my point).

And if after your adrenaline filled brave adventure you find yourself all ghostly looking down at your bloody body being looted by the PK monster. You can OooOOo around the Island for a long time until you find the dead npc healer looking down at his body. And then you can both scratch where your heads use to be... wondering what to do now?

Or you can simply remember you could have been ressurected 15 minutes ago by

Open Paperdoll > Help > Im physically stuck > select city of your choice

Then come back to that Island and pull that sword out of your dead body! Find that PK Monster and say "Now! Where were we?"

Now get out there little camper, dont be so discouraged, and don't let us girls have all the fun!

See.. you STILL don't get it.. I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH DOING THIS QUEST IN FELUCCA... I LIVE THERE!!!!! I HAVE FINISHED TODAYS QUEST ON ALL 5 OF MY ACCOUNTS.. THAT IS 35 CHARACTORS WITH SOME NOT HAVEING ANY SKILLS ON THEM AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!! The quest IS worth my time to do it.

I do NOT enjoy forceing MY game play style on somene else. To some folks, these last 8 DAYS were WASTED... to them, if they can not FINISH this quest then the last few days were a waste of time.

Some of the folks that wanted to do this quest was not expecting it to be in felucca, stuck on an island where there was really no where to run to get away from that game play style. They were not expecting to get gang banged... they WANT to do the quest.. however there are several that WILL NOT be able to (in their eyes) because the quest is now wrecked with a game style they do not care for... THUS THEY WILL NOT DO TODAY'S QUEST LINE....

I AM NOT whining for myself. I am complaining that the folks that did today's quest line goofed. I would not and DO NOT mind it being in Felucca. I DO mind getting stuck with no way out or off the island except to hold up the "HELP" and "STUCK" feature. GM's have better things to do than to be held up moveing people off a small island filled with a buch of gang banging reds.

THIS is my concern.. NOT how I can not get the quest done myself today.

I agree with you Hawkeye for the most. I too had some fun with them. But indeed 2 facets were made.. good or bad. EA KNEW that people didn't like the way the game was going. They lost alot of the player base when the game "feel" was changeing. When they made Trammel.. they kept alot of the player base becase this facet was THEIR "Utopia". Freedom from the gang banging RoXeR play style that we see today.

This is why I am confused why the team would make a quest that they KNOW would force others (IF THEY WANTED TO DO THE QUEST) to do and go to lands that they have no desire to particapate in. Why set a quest line up for failure? Why not make the quest for BOTH facets if they wanted the reds (or pvp, pk sytle of play) to be involved? This is what is bothering me.

Look. I enjoy some pvp time. God knows I've had my fill of killing and being killed. I remember the days when I mined naked and had to drag my ore piles around with me. I remember the days of the TRUE dread lords.. they were not player run people. They were the most feared npc player there was in the game before Ice Island was born.

I just don't get that some people after reading my post STILL believe that I.. MYSELF have a problem doing this quest line today... I don't have a problem with MY charactors doing this quest. It is worth it to me to do it. I just feel for those that wasted the last 8 days of their time doing the quest line just to be stuck at this point in time. There are those that will NEVER step foot in Felucca. Period. So the team really blew something that could have been a very good thing.

And if after your adrenaline filled brave adventure you find yourself all ghostly looking down at your bloody body being looted by the PK monster. You can OooOOo around the Island for a long time until you find the dead npc healer looking down at his body. And then you can both scratch where your heads use to be... wondering what to do now?

Or you can simply remember you could have been ressurected 15 minutes ago by

Open Paperdoll > Help > Im physically stuck > select city of your choice

Then come back to that Island and pull that sword out of your dead body! Find that PK Monster and say "Now! Where were we?"

Now get out there little camper, dont be so discouraged, and don't let us girls have all the fun!

And some people STILL don't read.... being rez killed.. defination for today...

On a small island with about 7 NPC healers... about half a dozen reds, and some blues to lure... person gets killed... person goes to npc for rez to either try to finish the quest line for today or tries to recall away IF they were smart enough to put scrolls in their runebook... HOWEVER if they are in battle they CANNOT recall away regardless.. thus getting killed again thus TRYING to get rezed by npc.. just to get killed again.... Oh and better yet... (I thought this was a very good one and laughed when my first char got on the island. Kutos for who ever thought of this one) get met by a ghost and the ghost acting like they want to be rezzed... BAM!! about 7 reds pop out to get you...

Woops.. there goes another "help stuck" call and gets tied up in the que.
