Lt. Dan in Serps Hold vs. Lt Crag in Cove : what is the difference ?

Lt. Dan in Serps Hold is good
Lt Crag in Cove is evil


But practically, what does this mean ?

Are there differences, eventually ?

Also, what is the replayability per character ?

Is it once per maintainance cycle ? Once per 24 hours pacific time?

One gives positive karma and works for Dawn. One gives negative karma and works for Minax. Other than that, no difference other than location.

Actually, the awards are different.
From Crag, you get the old Ranger's cloak of augmentation and the frostgaurd tali. You lose karma doing this.
From Dan, you get the new cloak and tali. You gain karma doing this.

Originally, both of them gave both new and old rewards, despite the fiction.

I guess I don't know if there was a fix, but my guildies and I have only got these items from the different Lieutenants. I'm talking about 5 people here who have never got a frostgaurd from Dan and a new item from Crag, so.... I can only assume it works the way I describe.

Let us hope.

Because the first night, people were getting new rewards from Lt. Crag, thus causing worry the loot tables were entirely reversed, until people also got new reards from Lt. Dan.

I've gotten a Frostguard from Dan, the new cloak a few times, and the new garg wing armor twice. So I'm only missing 1 old item and 1 new item.

Well, on day 1, I got the rangers cloak from Lt Dan. Then, I saw Mesanna pop in and "fix" him so that he gave the new stuff.

Crag gives only the rewards from the last quest (frostguard and ranger cloak).
Dan gives both the old rewards and the new ones.

Lt. Dan has fallen on hard times recently due to his gambling addiction and I'm told he has been hoarding the chaos eater tallys in a chest at his home in east Brit.

Well, I recieved the new talisman, Megacliloc (which is way better than a normal cliloc) from LT Dan on Siege today. I still lost karma doing it though. I don't lose karma from him on other shards though.

Just for grins, I have been trying to keep track of which lieutenant gave out which rewards. Below is what I've seen happen so far with my characters on various shards, only counting the brilliantly colored talismans, cloaks, relic fragments, and crafting or resource summoning talismans.

Dan's chest has yielded a Poison Eater talisman; 3 relic fragments; several tinkering talismans; and one unnamed gray cloak.
Crag's chest has yielded 3 Frostguard talismans; a relic fragment, a Ranger's Cloak; and a 22/23 cooking talisman.

Sonoma
9 characters x 7 days -- 7 to Dan and 2 to Crag -- 63 visits to Dan and 14 visits to Crag
Dan's chest has yielded one Frostguard talisman; 3 relic fragments; 4 Ranger's Cloaks; one 21% glassblowing owned by no one talisman, one 20/11 blacksmith talisman, and a 19% cooking talisman.
Crag's chest has yielded 2 relic fragments.

Atlantic
9 characters x 7 days - 4 to Dan and 5 to Crag -- 28 visits to Dan and 35 visits to Crag
Dan's chest has yielded 2 relic fragments; and two gray unnamed cloaks.
Crag's chest has yielded one Frostguard talisman; 3 relic fragments; 2 Ranger's Cloaks; one 16%/17% carpentry talisman.
