Anyone has a UOAssist macro for imbuing training ?

I was reading the Imbuing Training FAQ (http://vboards.stratics.com/showthread.php?t=187112) which suggests to imbue 20 times the same one item (the max number of imbuing possible on 1 item...).

Since the process needs be repeated, I would imagine that a UOAssist macro could make it less a pain.

Has anyone already gone through this and worked on a good UOAssist macro (2d client) for making the imbuing training as smooth as possible ?

What type of macro is it ?

I think that UOAssist has a limit of lines that a macro can have so I would imagine the macro works on "item type" and then, after the 20 imbuing on 1 item one just replaces the item to the next one ?

Anyways, any good advice on how to set up an efficient UOAssist macro for imbuing training ?

Thanks.

The "Reimbue Last" and "Imbue Last Property" options in the imbuing menu were created to eliminate the need for macro assistance.

Once you set up the property you wish to imbue on the item and try once, you can use the "Reimbue Last" option to imbue the same property on the same item. Once you have succeeded 20 times (your chance to gain skill from that item decreases after this), use the "Imbue Last Property" and target the second item you wish to imbue. You can resume using the "Reimbue Last" on the second item. Repeat this method until you need to change your property, to adjust for optimal skill gain.

Macros probably cannot count successes/failures, so you may burn through alot more resources and waste time. If you are below 90.0 skill, you are best to gain through unravelling looted items.

Thanks for the reply.

I have been using unravelling (am 60 skill now) but I noticed that this way it goes way too slow.

I thought that with imbuing I could speed up gains.

Question.
Do I gain imbuing the same property and intensity over and over on the same one item (up to 20 times that is) ?

For example, say that I imbue 20 luck on an item (about 40% success chance). Can I just imbue that same item over and over 20 times with 20 luck even though I already imbued it with 20 luck, succesfully ?

I get gains imbuing the same property and same intensity over and over (up to 20 times per item, that is) ?

Yes, you will get the same results for imbuing the same property repeatedly.

The primary reason people suggest unraveling up into the 80's or so is you are going to need the residue and essence you gain during that period for the push to 120, as well as getting the essence you need for the 120 scroll - it takes 500, but that's a heck of a lot cheaper than 50 relic frags.

As for a UOA macro, all I did was record a macro that had imbue last property 20 times. You can obviously make it more or less - the only problem with more is that, after 20 successful imbues, you will get a message to the effect that your odds of gaining skills on that particular item is greatly reduced - you can still skill gain on it, but don't count on it.

Your gain chance from unravelling is based off the total intensity of the item you are trying to unravel. As your skill increases, you will need better items to unravel in order to gain skill. The develpers provided more details when they removed the cap on gaining through unraveling (it used to be 25, but now you could go to 120, theoretically).

You may want to hunt something that gives better loot, or increase the luck on the character you are hunting with. This will yield better quality items from the kills. Don't be too picky when looting for unravelling. Just grab an empty (light weight) container, throw all of the items in. Once you are full, head home, and drop off the container and get another empty one. Once you have collected several containers, then unravel the containers one after another (use the unravel container option). I find that doing several at a time did not feel tedious, since I was gaining skill, gold, and other resources with my hunter. You will get alot of residue and essence this way. If you hunt in the Abyss, you can also collect the special ingredients, to use later.

Yes, you can use the same property and imbue it over and over on the same item. After 20 successful imbues on that item, your chance of gaining skill is reduced (on that item).

I have a UOA macro for unraveling. I'm not clear if I select to unravel a container of 50 items that it does a skill check 50 times or once. Does it do this or just one check?

I'm only about 60-ish but seem to gain at least .2 each run of about 100 items doing it individually. There are some items set aside for "processing" once I hit higher levels. I should mention this is with my Elf and at my house.

The check is for each item in the bag - if you have 50 items, you have 50 potential skill ups.
