Treasures of Ricardo, Day Three

Day Three's book is located north of the secret thieves bar in Vesper on a tiny island. The exact coordinates are 59o 4'N 109o 53'E.

You will need a boat to get to the island if you don't have a friendly rune library, or someone isn't there gating.

For those on Great Lakes, you may find runes to all three day's books (and further books as they appear) in the Nameless Rune Library which is due south of the Yew moongate (about 2 screens). Look for the blue runebook on the podium.

The clue is: "Me bar in Vesper requires a secret knock and serves terrible ale. Don't knock till you try it."

The majority of the clue is a red herring, and the 'bar' is a double clue. It refers to the secret thieves bar under the Tanner's Shop, and to the 'sand bar' island that it rests on.

A somewhat clever location in this otherwise deficient quest. :p

Ah okay I guess I just didn't wait long enough ... assuming Ricardo spouts the clue each day :)

Every morning around 12:30am server local time. It may take him a bit to cycle through to the new clue.

Can someone post a pic please? I don't have a mapping program to enter coordinates on.

Buy a sextent, problem solved.
I've got a sextant, but since the location is an island that is unreachable on foot, it wouldn't do me much good running around Vesper. Besides, a pic is worth a thousand words. Are you opposed to people knowing the location?

If you have UOA typing '-where' in game also gives you your coordinates.

You can see where it is with the handy in game radar.

Yeah that's it I am so opposed to people finding it I locked down a rune to the location at my Rune Library. Properly Using a sextent would have allowed you to determine it was the island and then you could have used a boat to get there. I am just tired of folks not using the current tools available to them.

Connor, for future reference, you can enter co-ordinates into the zoomable maps on Stratics. It's how I find my way around Ter Mur.

Those co-ordinates are here

The mapping program is free, why not use it?
Because it is not UO! It is a crutch for players who want the easy button. I've never used UOAM or UOA for the same reason.

It amazes me how many want "Classic" UO, but classic always seems to include all the "add-ons" that are not, and never were, UO.

EC atlas... shows the coordinates and you can move it around accordingly. Move the map over to Vesper and search for the coords accordingly. No external programs needed :D

Thank you for posting coordinates. I don't think I would have found that little spot on my own. :)
