Thursday my subscription renewed for the month, payment has cleared my account according to my bank's website. This payment was supposed to be the one that made my account turn 84 months. Still at 83 months.

Anyone else noticing this?

guess you have 1week to 3 months to register based on past experience

Mine is the same but it seems every year it takes a few days longer for the reward gump to pop up.

It starts with one char aging and several days later for the rest to age.

I would wait until the 5th or so of May before you go Super Nova.

I'm not overly concerned with it, just curious. I most likely won't use any of the rewards right away anyway.

I have the same problem. My account should have turned 84 months this week as well, but I'm still at 83 months. :(

I have an account stuck on 143 months. It's been there for several weeks now. I want a teleport tile!

Your account age updates according to how many days your account has been active. It is on a 30-day timer which means that your account ages one month at the start of a new 30-day cycle. This cycle is not in synch with your billing date or any day of the calendar month. It is calculated based on how many days the account is active.
Characters that show different ages at the start of the same account's "birthday" may update throughout the month based on the individual character's last login time and date. The server caches an individual character's age and only checks for new information every seven days therefore characters should be updated within seven days of their first login after the accounts "birthday".

I have a unique situation going with my account age:
1.) 01 March, 2010 - checked account age (I knew I was getting close) read 143 Months. Went to the UO account management site and it said I've been a member since April, 1998, which I have been with NO break in payments, active account the whole time.
2.) 01 April, 2010 - Checked account age, still reads 143 months...check my Billing Info to see when the bill is due on the account (thought maybe that came into play). Since I pay every 6months, it's not due again until 23 May.
3.) 15 April, 2010 - 46 DAYS after I KNOW the account read 143 months...STILL reads 143 months. I page in game and get a response from a GM telling me to make a bug report and include the following information (this was also sent to me in an email from [email protected]):

First, check your account creation date in the Account Management section of our web site. Be sure to follow the guidelines for determining account age when calculating what you feel your correct age is.

Your account may appear to be up to 2 months older than it really is - this is normal and intended.

If you are certain your account age is not correct then please submit the following information by using the Contact Us link. Leaving out the information listed below will mean your request will not be able to be processed.

Account name (not password!)
Account creation date
How old you believe the account should be.
Problem character
Problem shard

You can review this Knowledge Base article at the following URL (the EA site that is of no use to anyone unless you play SIMS...I don't like their knowledge base at all)

4.) 19 April, 2010 - 50 DAYS NOW...Account age STILL reads 143 months. I start sending in several bug reports to different areas - Customer Support Issues, General Bug Report, Skill Issues Bug Report, UO KR Bug Reports (it occurs to all characters on all shards in both 2D and KR so why not...), General Feedback General and Negative Feedback.
5.) 56 days and counting with my account age reading 143 months. I've been sending in this "bug report" every day since 19 April, 2010. Today I get a Customer Service Survey from EA. LMAO, I can honestly say that I don't think they will like my responses that I submitted on their survey.

Does this not make sense to anyone else? The only scernario I could see this holding true is someone playing on an account that was started with a free trial, but hasn't ever had a lapse in service.

Established accounts that were closed, then reactivated *should* have their anniverary date right around the same time every year. Right?

FINALLY...59DAYS AND MY ACCOUNT AGE HITS 144MONTHS.

I honestly don't think anyone from EA/UO Customer Support understands Ultima Online in the slightest of ways. Read the following email they sent to me and you will see exactly what I mean.
Little more info - the email from Customer Support is dated 27 April, 2010 and I honestly don't see or understand how they could NOT gather the information Fernando is asking for from the information I provided.

Incorrect Account Age:
On 01 March, 2010 the account age on the account was 143 Months. It is now 21 April, 52DAYS later, and the account age is still at 143 Months. Payments are made every 6months...payment is not due until May.

Have you tried all the characters on that account? Some of my characters age before others on the same account.

Actually, you've got that backward... what the above means is this:

I started UO on October 23, 1997. Now, presuming that I never had a lapse on my account, 4,749 days will have passed prior to October 23, 1997. UO bills on a 30-day cycle. That's 158 full billing cycles in the meantime, or 4,740 days. Notice that this is 9 days off from my actual anniversary of October 23... which means that, without a single billing interruption, my anniversary for turning 13 years old, would be October 14, 1997, more than a week prior to it.

However, if I've had any lapses in billing, my account is only counting active days. Now if I activated my account, and then it went inactive for 6 months, and then I chose to reactivate it again on say February 9 of some odd year, that choice of date, as well as all of the previous days involved, will affect what my actual anniversary date is.

All of that said, I still think the account timer is borked. I've had some accounts that didn't go inactive hold the same age for 45 to 60 days.

I have a friend whose account age has not changed in two months so there is something wrong. He has been waiting to turn 12 years for those two months.

I have not had an issue with account age at all as some of you have, but this post of yours made me sit up a bit.

Wasn't there a "gimme period" of about 2 months for the vet rewards or something ... like you could claim rewards earlier than your account age really was? Redrum, your account aged just about 60 days (2 months?) after it should have.

I wonder now if those of you folks with issues like this were to track like Redrum did, if your accounts aged 2 months later than you think they should. Sounds like the "gimme period" on your account is the opposite of what it should be.

Make sense at all?

That very well could be the case Beer. I run 5 accounts and this is the first time I've experienced an issue with account ages (that I've been aware of anyways). The only reason I watched it so closely was due to wanting the house teleporters so badly.

There was a time when they added a 90-day bonus time to account age. As a result, I'll get my 13th year picks before the 13th anniversary of the games release.

No worries on my accounts Cal, the account ages all appear to be correct atm. Next account to turn 12 years old isn't for another 7 months.
Set up my 4 house Teleporters last night and all is well :D I even snatched up an ethy Hyru...now that is one cool ride!
2 picks left in hot standby for next round of outstanding vet rewards.

PS: Congrats Petra! They sure make life good.
