auto defend - can I turn it off?

So is it possible to turn off auto defend feature?

Here is the deal: Im training ABC archer and I found it very very annoying when Im starting to shot at next random target, which gives me no chance to honor it when its already damaged, which means Im loosing perfection.

Or its just something I have to get used to and nothing can be done?

I'm pretty curious myself actually, I missed the chance to honor the Stygian Dragon last week once when our guild went and chained it. I stood there waiting for it and then it popped up and before I could hit my honor macro it aggro'd on me and I hit it with an arrow. Kind of cut back on the damage being done but oh well. I just took my bow off after that one when we started the next couple so that I couldn't hit it.

But does anyone have a better way? Maybe an "Ignore aggro" button?

Try war mode, If I recall (and it's been awhile since I played a dexxer) war mode doesn't do the auto attack thing... you have to click on targets manually. If you are not in war mode then it will attack whatever flags you automatically.

Do you have a macro to honor and target nearest hostile? One key press just prior to killing prior creature may help.

Try war mode, If I recall (and it's been awhile since I played a dexxer) war mode doesn't do the auto attack thing... you have to click on targets manually. If you are not in war mode then it will attack whatever flags you automatically.

You'll still auto attack in war mode. There is no way to get rid of it, only steps to take to ensure it doesn't mess you up.

There is one way to mess the auto fire up. Once you have auto acquired a target you can move a screen away prior to it dying. Then you will have a different creature registered and will not auto target until it dies.

You have to be careful though because you could get in the situation where multiple mobs are attacking and you stand there with a dumb founded look on your face and a full quiver.
