Prefered SA Mini-Champ for a Sampire

What mini-champ are you all doing with your sampire? I'm prepping to do the Renown Wyvern one at the entrance of Stygian Dragon. Friends have recommended the ratman mini-champs. What all do you find is a good match for a standard sampire?

They're all easy. The Wyvern one is actually the hardest.

Might avoid slime spawn, just because of armor/weapon corruption.

I would say the absoloute easiest one is the Skeletal Dragon due to the small area. The Goblins are easy but more spread out making it take longer to level. Despite that I tend to go for one that also drops useful Imbuing ingredients.

I don't do the Skeletal Dragon since the imbuing ingredients aren't used.

My favorite is the Abyssal Infernal entrance since the ingredient is very useful (Essence of Achievement for FC1) and everything there is a "demon" type, so only one slayer weapon is needed.

I avoid Lava Caldera, Fire Temple Ruins and Crimson Veins on my Sampire just because I find fire ants annoying (not hard, just annoying).

I avoid Passage of Tears because of the afore-mentioned slime/acid elemental weapon decay.

I prefer Lands of the Lich with my ABC archer, since my archer hits harder than my sampire (and the RC's and AL's have a ton of hit points).

I've probably spent the most time at the Stygian Dragon entrance spawn with my sampire, but can't really explain why. I suppose it's that the Forgotten Servants and Reknowned Wyvern are easier to kill with the Sampire than with any of my other characters.

I havent really bothered with any of the mini bosses as it probably takes longer than say Medusa [apart from getting the damn eggs is soooo boring]

With a sampire i cant really see any of them being a problem, id say if youv just done hunting in wraith form the pixie is good and your already probably close to neg kama

With reguards to what one can you clear quickest and easiest with the most worthwhile imbuing dropps has to be the cavern.

I didn't mention the cavern because it's SO easy there, you can have a non-vampire with a soul seeker (or other hit life leech weapon with repond slayer) and never need healing.

Sampire in the cavern is just overkill. I do that when I need a nap.

Thanks for the feedback. I have a short list of arties I hope to obtain for my chars. Working on the assumption that all renowns can drop the same arties (which may or may not be true), I'm just looking for the best way to use my sampire to quickly work the spawn and drop the renowns as fast as possible.

-Use a hit area Radiant Scimitar, the hit area "catches" fleeing enemies (makes them stop fleeing and attack you again)
-And use a macro to attack nearest enemy, so you're not attacking the ant that just ran 3 screens away. (will be hitting this macro a lot)

Yeah, that is very possible. I keep looking at new reports when they come in. Seems to be a lot of drops from the Rat spawn. I'll give that a try first.

Problem is, we don't know if Ratmen drops are specific to the ratman type, or if there's a pool of "Ratman drops" that they all can give.
Since the void kilt was recorded dropping on the mage and other renowned's artifacts seem to align logically, I'm guessing that they're specific to each type of ratman. (Tinker leggings make sense on the wyvern since they incidentally moved Sutek over there randomly after the patch)

They have Mysticism so may be able to Purge it, hasn't happened to me there on mine (yet) but I can't think of any reason they can't.

That has to be it then. I'm not wise to Mysticism.

But I'm also unlucky too. First time I tried them, they 'purged' me twice.
Second time they 'purged' me 3 times in a row then I gave up went back with mage.

Magic resist can offset the purge magic spell. Human JOAT is not enough, but when I add GM resist, I have never been knocked out of vamp form.

Skeletal Dragon renown went pretty well last night on my Sampire. Unfortunately, the skeletal dragon was stingy and didn't drop anything other than a few ML gems. In fact, I'm not sure what arties it drops (if any).

I was reading another thread and someone was comparing the Renown Wyvern as comparable to an Ancient Wyrm. Is that a good comparison? I'm going to hit the Cavern of the Discarded tonight and see how that goes. I hope to get to the Wyvern spawn later in the week or next week.

How do others get the servants? They are not vulnerable to either repond or mage slayers, as far as I can tell. I have no Magic Resist, but carry the usual apples and trapped boxes.

For the acid elemental spawn I swapped 120 swords for 115 Archery, and it was pretty easy. The first time I brought a sword, and hated how much it was ruined.

You'll want to take only 1 or 2 forgotten servants on at a time, two is actually better since you can do a lot more damage with momentum strike. They have no slayer, they're treated like NPC Elves (probably why they start out blue). Honor them if at all possible.

And semi-side note: Imbue a Radiant Scimitar (or double axe would work) with Dragon Slayer and Hit Physical Area, and whatever other mods you prefer for Fairy Dragons. It cuts through them like butter, just aggro the entire screen and they fall like wheat, Phys Area tends to add 40 damage and keeps them from running.
No need for EoO or Consecrate weapon either since their low resist is Phys.

I did the wyvern all day yesterday in hope of getting the legs but got the Pillar of strength on the 36th, major bummer!
