Sampire vs wraith form

Hey everyone, I've been experimenting with this template that uses wraith form instead of vamp embrace ...I'm sure it's been done before but it's been pretty effective ... I wanted to know what you all think especially Connor ..here it is....120 fence/tact/ss/bush gm anat 40 nec the rest in chiv..

I go into wraith use curse wep and bush/chiv spells and that's all she wrote

give me some feed back..I'd like to hear some comparisons to the sampire build

i want to see connors input on this as well, but I have done both as well, and in my oppinion wraith is more effective but i like vamp more. I like vampire a bit more because u can ride the swampy for the damage reduction, and you dont have to work up your karma before big hunts like you might if you are casting curse weapon every 36 seconds (120 ss) but thats just my two cents.

That's basically a simple Wammy setup. I've tried both, and found the Sampire to be more effective in more places. The wammy has it's uses, such as Travesty, but it's really hard to beat a Sampire.

The fact that this thread is "either/or" means you're thinking all wrong about it.

Go for 100 necromancy and ~100ish SS.

Heh, was replying to the Original poster, but interesting to hear... you're using SS regularly now?

Not regularly, but it does have it's uses. The really big, non-necro, heavy hitters are good to use it for. It's unnecessary overkill for most things though and I'd prefer not to have to farm karma.

yeah what's up with these guys that run 4/6 chiv dexxers with necro and ss that use curse weapon.....too many buttons to press and too much karma to farm

... most people it seems are under some strange delusion that karma actually seriously affects the usefulness of chivalry, especially for chivalry users who don't have any FC/FCR anyway. It's not true.
Karma seriously effects... one spell: Remove curse.
For those one or two people out there that spam Holy light, it affects that too.
Close Wounds is moderately affected (a few hit points). But then again close wounds is almost 100% useless without fc/fcr anyway... which most don't have.

The other effects... typically spell duration length, really aren't an issue.

miner, i know you like to use more than curse weap on your ss sampire, do you have lrc on your gear? i looked into doing it but i took so many hits into other areas i gave up. what say you?!

LRC? hah, no way im fitting that on my suit. Well, aside from the Orny 20% and if i had a lieutenant sash that'd be +10%, but no, just carry regs.
Tend to carry 150 pig iron in groups of 50 and 100 of the others in 50s, though i carry more than what straight PvMers need.
