On finding their mistake, and wanting to get in contact regarding assistance to remove fees incurred as a result of being billed hundreds or thousands of dollars, the warhammer herald site says:

For those playing outside of the United States who do not wish to make an international call, please create an in-game appeal
"Im sorry, we cannot replace lost items"

Other than that..with all the bugs and issues this great game has had over the last 12 years..I can say I have never had an account issue :D

<chuckles> Only issue I had with EA was when taxes went into effect. They scaled mine as if in NYC and I am not, thus tax is lower by a decent bit. However, they seem to have adjusted them well and I don't mind ... now.

Wow... at first I was like "okay, bump in the system." But some people were getting charged 15 times multiple days... that's when I, affected or not, would just leave the game.

This is true . Happened to my son he was billied a little over $300.00 and yet to recieve credit. Mind you if you use a debit card this can be devastating.

As most companies they are fast to bill and slow to credit. It could be a software issue I had similar issue with my cable company

They coulda just shut the billing system down... Sure some people don't get billed immediately... but just release a notice of like.

"we're having billing issues, some people are getting charged multiple times. Billing services will be down until issue is resolved. "

They'd lose some money, sure, but the players would have more confidence.

Now players have no or little confidence and are leaving in droves.

No wonder EAs keeps "not meeting their expected income projection " or whatever, they make terrible business decisions based on the short term.

I dont believe EA Warhammer was aware of the issue until custmers started screaming by that time it was too late. They will research each transaction before credit will be issued.

It should have not happened but it unfortunately it does.

Meanwhile they earn interest money off money that is not theirs.

These are typically billed as credit thus are open to being contested for any amount over US$50 in many cases. That means it is in the hands of the cardholder to notify the CC issuer and have the funds replaced or at least noted as unauthorized.
