Completly new to warriors and was thinking of making a Sampire. I see so many conflicting posts that I keep changing my mind on what to make.

What I really need help with is the basic gear set up. Just to get started what should I be gathering as far as arties and what should I craft? Was going to go with macing.

Also whats some good things to start out fighting?

Thanks. I've been using search function but I just more and more confued

You may get suited up fast by finding a crafter and imbuer on your shard that can get you all suited up. You could post on a shard trade forum if you are playing an in game shy person. The combinations are endless so getting a person knowing what to make and how to achieve that for your price range is the way to go.

What I want to know is what to train first...Parry is the obvious first choice, but then after that...Necromancy to get the Vamp form going?

Probably a good idea, let Meditation and focus raise passively, and drop them down after you're done training Necro. (and shove as much MR as you can and 40 LMC and 2/6 casting)

it helps if you already have a necro mage on the same account, i just used 2 soulstones, stoned the original necro, re trained it to gm and stoned that off for my sampire to have

I'm assuming once 99 Necro has been reached 100% LRC won't be needed? Figure just carry some reagents to cast vamp form, and get a suit built for defense / offensive melee?

Not even mages really need LRC, let alone sampires.

I train all my sampires like mages first. I lock dex at 10 and raise int and str. I train necro first. Get a 100 LRC suit with 40 LMC. I allow spirit speak, med, and focus to raise naturally. When at 50 necro/50 ss use a dark wisp. When you hit about 72 necro get into lich form. You will GM focus and then med. Keep at the necro trainin until 99 or 100. Once this is done, train chivalry while you have your best mana regen and a large mana pool. Train to your target, then train bushido (confidence then counter attack) to 70. Now all of your support skills are set or started and it is time to turn your char into a dexxer. Set your int to lower and raise dex. Cap str at your target value based on your max stat cap. Always put dex to 125. Lower ss, focus, and then med in order as you progress. I train parry next; buy 40 parry, 40 healing, and 40 anatomy. I temporarily train healing to help with the sheep. Let anatomy raise too while training sheep. Don't forget you have bushido so either remove it temporaily via soulstone or adjust your technique. Once complete with parry training switch to weapon training. Buy weapon skill and tactics to 40. Head to Despise and lighrtning strike lizardmen, then ettins/earth els. Then at 80 go to Yomatsu mines and fight the dc and earth el spawn right at the entrance. Once at 100 head back and start tackling the warriors. You can hit 120 weapon, 120 bushido, 100 tactics, and 100 anatomy all in the mines.

Anway that is how I train a sampire. It has served me well across multiple shards. I find the suit is the harder part to setup. Imbuing makes it immensely easier. I'm training my second artificer now so I can outfit and prep weapons for my cross-shard sampire on Origin (where the availability of stocked vendors is lower than other major shards).

I carry an arcane robe and use it to cast vampiric embrace when needed.

Parrying: I just did this and you don't need any armor, but a self repair shield with no reflect physical. You really don't need to heal at all if your in Horrific Beast necro form. I did sheep to 100 Parry.

120 wep (preferable swords)
120 tactics
120 bush
120 parry
100 necro
80 chiv
45 med or SS (but you need regs to cast)

Run this keep regs to cast spells on you its really not that hard and use a fast whirlwind wep aka twinkling scimtar. use confidence/evasion and chiv and your actully dmg dealth to keep you alive this template is preety much indestructable by 99% of the pvm world also run JOAT spellweaving and theres another feather in your hat. good 40 lmc min45 dci with mr and mi on it and all 70 and youll be set some people try to go corpse skin proff but i rather just eat a apple and be done with it.Use slayer tali and weps honor targets enemy of one and lighting stirkes on strong monsters 1v1 fights but my guy fights best fighting in hordes of monsters. 50%ep ring and greater heals keep you alive and chiv cure to break deadly poisons. This template is idiot proff run around and beat stuff up only have to think for some stronger monsters. TYR
