New Quest..

I guess new quests are not turn on? or am i doing something wrong.. went to 3 different npc.. 1st said i need lamp of sinsulairty, so went to 2nd glasses guy in holy city said.. i wasnt garg cant do quest go to dexter.. i went to dexter and he tells me he has nothing for me...


so did i start in wrong place or is not turn on??

Perhaps.. i read the spoilers in TC forum. suppose you can win chance to place house in Abyss...

i think it smells of a April's Fool joke but swear cal or someone said that yes the couple of plots available in abyss would be opened to settlement..

They have stated that there will be housing opened there they are just trying to get it so its fair as possible!

Well this quest are suppose to be for housing according to the spoiler... dang got get on the ball and find the other quest NPC... i think the lamp of singularity is 4-6 part of the quest.. i need find the 1-3 parts lol.

Any clues folks.. come on is there no one that cares about housing in abyss... or is imbueing taking center stage.

Ok new fiction is leaning toward the new quest.. has anyone found the starting point yet? i am on test and origin..

I can't believe that UO players are so greedy no will help each other with this quest???

* SIGH* Then again nothing surpises me anymore after finding out a deceased player's account was hacked and a extremely ill player came back find her accounts stripped and all her houses dropped.

Didn't anyone besides me ever learn greed is one of the seven deadly sins?

Me thinks a whole lotta peeps need to be doin a whole lotta confession.

What makes you think anyone knows anything about these quests at all? As far as I can tell, this thread is about quests that haven't been activated, and are only on TC1 and Origin, where the new publish is in place.

In fact, I think it's quite likely, given what people have said on the thread, that these quests are pieces to a bigger puzzle - a storyline that hasn't even started yet. I don't know about others, but personally I'm looking for a go-ahead from the EMs or Developers to get started on these quests (I'm hoping they are related to the new storyline that was just introduced today on UO Herald). I'd rather not try to jump ahead and disadvantage others to get ahead.

So, before you take your holier-than-thou attitude and start calling other players greedy and accusing them of a multitude of sins, maybe you should try to understand what the question is. From what I can tell, the knowledge that people are asking for isn't available. If some people want to give it a shot at figuring it out on TC1, I think that's what it's for; but there's no reason to believe that anyone should actually know anything about it.

You have been around here long enough to know that as a whole, people on stratics are usually helpful.. at least until they think something will get nerfed *cough* relic fragments *cough* and then they clam up.

It starts on Monday... unless something crazy happens that keeps it from going live. We didn't want it to be doable on the test center because we wanted the content to be a surprise. Hope you all enjoy the event!

I've been keeping my mouth shut and not whining about not being able to figure out the quest while on TC.
I relegated myself to only 2 possibilities the other day: 1) it must not be active, 2) its broken.

- Does this mean that northern American shards will be published at the maintenance of early morning of the Monday, and the quest will start on Monday?
- Or will the quest start, apart from Publish 65, like April Fool?
- When will it start on Japanese shards?

Typical amateur hour at EA/Mythic.

You have players in Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, North America, etc. with shards at all sorts of different times. They know this. Everyone knows this. For years though they can't seem to announce times/days that everyone in every region can look at and know exactly when it happens on their shard.

Other MMOs with far less experience have no problem announcing when things happen in a standard format (GMT for example) that all can look at and know immediately how it applies to their shard. Why the UO staff have never been able to figure this out is beyond me.
