Well I was able to get one about a mnth ago on Atl, and I had to pay 20 for mine. Seen one up for auction I think on the rares forum awhile back, and pretty sure it went up to 30mil.

I bought my pure black one for 1m and the lighter black for 750k. This was about 2 yrs ago.

Is black a rare color for horses? If so, I didn't know that.

Yes it is. The pure black horses, and even the light black ones, aren't available any longer, and haven't been for some years.

Just an FYI; i know a certain "medusa" that is planning on paging on players with the black horses. Perhaps it would be best to not get one -- and just save your gold.
I'm guessin' it's because she doesnt have one and thinks that nobody else should have one. Most likely it will be the usuall "doesnt belong in the game excuse" or w/e.

She could page all she wants. To the best of my knowledge, they are perfectly legal. I've never heard of anyone getting in trouble for just owning a black horse.
