If you play with the Enhanced Client you have to join a chat channel first... you do this in the chat menu.. there is a button on the menu line.Hi, maybe a stupid question but how can i post anything in the ingame chat channels in uo (like trade or help channel)

Instead of using the mouse you can type in the following:One of my gripes with the EC - no matter which legacy/non legacy setting I choose, I have to mouse over to choose a chat channel. It's a PITA. In 2d it's nothing to say stuff 'out loud, \ to talk in guild, shift + \ to chat in alliance, / to chat in party and , to chat in global. Simples![]()
How about sending a private message to a particular party member? I have yet to find this one out and it would be helpful lol.Instead of using the mouse you can type in the following:
/s to speak
/p to party
/a to alliance
/g to guild talk
/c to general chat
/gm to speak to GMs.
You only need to do that to change too, So once your in general chat its just like speaking out loud.
After several months of using the client I don't even notice doing it now.

We're hoping to get a party manifest in by Publish 66 (not this one coming up, the one after). In the meantime, using /t1 through /t10 will work except you won't know who you're sending the party tell to unless you keep track of the order of the party.
No these commands work if you have legacy chat on or off.I could very well be wrong here, but this is down to legacy settings? And, if this is the case, I've tried in both positions with no success whatsoever to achieve the above results. It's most irritating!
No these commands work if you have legacy chat on or off.
Of course if you have legacy chat off you must hit enter first then the command and don't forget the space after the command before you start typing
"Enter" "/G" "Space" "Hi guild"
