Dev question: DCI/HCI stacking?

I have heard that getting 70 DCI enables you to disregrard hit lower defense. I have also heard recently that that was fixed, but remains a common misconception.

So, a simple question:

Can you stack DCI/HCI to cap at 45 even after hit with lower defense or attack?

I just did a test on Pacific. I shot from one account at lorax with 75 DCI with another character that has HLD and his DCI was still 45. I took off the Aegis and his DCI went to 30, but with it on it remained showing 45.

Second Test: I used devine fury and then attacked myself with another acct hitting with HLD. My DCI showed 30.

Third Test: I took off all my DCI and cast Divine Fury. My DCI was -20.

Fourth Test: Removed all DCI and attacked. My DCI was -25.

Seems to be working as designed to me. Compensate for divine fury and HLD for 90 DCI if you rely on divine fury. It has never been a "bug" in the way that it works. I don't know why you used the word "fixed".

p.s.

Sorry for answering a question you wanted a developer to answer. I didn't notice that to begin with.

Yes it is working as intended, and if they want a dev answer they should submit it to the devs seeing as how that is a much better way for them to actually see things that are meant for them.

Much appreciated. Great information.

I had just heard this several different ways recently and didn't want to invest heavily in that much DCI without any reason.
