If it is still owned by them, or whoever runs the town now (if it even is a town anymore. Still has original blessed stuff)

Can you have them contact me here. I just placed a L shape next to thier fountain and I wanna make sure there's no bad blood for me doing so. I like to be on good terms with my neighbors.

I havent seen brimstone kick it in UO in about 4 thousand years.
Im sure youll be fine. Make your house a tavern and i'll bring the RP community over to get wasted.

Just sold the tower directly south of the hedges about a month ago.

It is a great location.

Wow, it's really awesome to see so many folks still playing... I used to love the community we had then and I regret quite often the fact I spent so much time trying to ruin the fun of others.

I was Both in TheMercs and Trinsic Borrowers (The latter all the way until I retired in 02) so I suppose you all can understand what I mean by ruining others fun.
These days even though I plan on PvP'ing again, I also plan on being part of the community. Well what community is left. I wish I could say my past names but in part of reforming oneself I don't plan on speaking of my old chars.

But I will say this for good old times sake... "Borrowers not Thieves!"

Farewell friends!

I'm not big on taverns... Well I am, but they're over done. I was just talking to some friends in TWT about this a week or so ago and my thoughts are that we need something a little more interactive than a tavern to revive the style of community we had at places like Serps cross, the Keg and Anchor(yes I know gm created but I consider myself from trinsic!) and Silks on Lake Superior (my all time favorite).

While I haven't come up with the answer just yet, I have been putting much thought into it, and more so now that I have such a wonderful spot. All I have thus far is that it should be a mix of the new and old, and it needs to be a establishment that your regular joe can goto and feel apart of without being forced to roleplay a part to enjoy themselves. I want to be able to bring both rp'ers and average descent folks into a place they can enjoy and grow attached too. (Once I have them addicted to it, Ill put in vendors and sell stuff at Luna Prices!!! Alright Pinky?)

I'd really enjoy working futher on this, but I do need help with the brainstorming, My spot is absolutely beautiful)

Andra those are some great screenshots. I will forever be impressed by those who not only took those pics but continue to hold on to those wonderful memories after all these years. Thank you.

ChReuter as you know I am very interested in the thought of a persistent community. As a matter of fact it was in the works with Morgana LeFay and POV as they originally joined in an alliance with TWT to create such a thing. One such community that was built on a strong foundation of ideas put into motion that would allow for growth within that framework. An open playstyle where the players and guilds actions dictate what direction things are taken, not storylines written by a few or one. That alliance fell by the wayside due to unforseen issues, and with that door closing another opened with Hightimes (a trusted and former member of TWT when he first came to Sosaria long ago) and MPD as he was returning to Sosaria with the intent on rebuilding his guild, though now he has left these lands for others, so that was scrapped. Also in the alliance I speak of is The House of Wolfthistle, sadly inactive atm and The Town of Yew which is active but not as much as needed to support this community of guilds that was envisioned.

Ya know, i check up on the threads on UHall about classic shards etc, and the fact of the matter is even if they make one things will never be the same. Sorta like kissing that girl for the first time, ya can never relive it. Other side of the coin here is people are mistaken if they believe there is not a corner of Sosaria just itching to be carved out with much the same adventure and intrigue as what those days brought us. The heart pounding what is around the next corner excitement, its there I'm sure. People just have to be willing to accept that YES its going to be a bit different, but is something different really all that bad?

Agreed! Those are treasures, Andra, I know lookin back at the folders I have from long ago, being the sentimentalist I am, what a delight it is to touch on the memories. I know when I look back on my "newbie" days, there is no way to recreate that feeling but does that mean I do not enjoy the experience of today. .. Of course not.. Its just like life, we stroll through passages. I agree with Draken .. don't expect to replicate the feel of old but bring about a new experience, one that could be just as rich, as expectant and renew the Ultima of Old in a new day.. We have the power to create our own destiny.. it is up to us...........
p.s Egg (Charles) its so awesome to have you back playing again!!!!!
