How to use 'ignore'

I won't hijack the related thread, but for those who are unsure how to do this, here's a very straightforward how to:

Open paper doll, select 'options' (1 in the image)
Click on the last tab on the right (2 in the image)
Double click on the word (new) (3 in the image)

If the person you want to ignore is in the global chat, click on their name in the list, otherwise target them with the cursor.

Ignore is often my LAST option to use.... but I use it when I must.

And for those of you who wanted to know how to use the Ignore Feature on the Forums:

1. Click on the poster's name.
2. Click on "View Public Profile" in the drop down menu.

3. Click on "User Lists"
4. Click on Add to Ignore List


...though you can't actually Ignore Petra or other Moderators/Administrators.

There is a big flaw with the ignore option in UO. They don't give you the option to put that players whole account on ignore. So if I wanted to be a lil snot and pick on you on the game in global chat. you put me on ignore I can just delete my character,come back and pick on you.

Well then just don't announce in chat: 'HA! YOU'VE JUST BEEN PUT ON IGNORE!'

There's a lot to be said for quiet victories.

Yes, but that
1. gets them out of your hair for a week (after you ignore the new characters)
2. builds a rock-solid case for harassment that will get them shut up more effectively.

It hardly takes that long to add someone to ignore though. Maybe 30 seconds at most.

And the time it takes for someone to go through the process of deleting/creating characters just to annoy someone would take a lot longer. Wouldn't think there would be many people that dedicated just to annoy someone.

They don't ? Well they should have trumpets blasting, and a message NEINER NEINER so and so as put you on ignore.
