What are you using for the new drops?

The new SA drops have been out a few weeks now. I've been using my necro-mage primarily for slasher and navrey. I've been watching the types of chars other people are bringing to these fights. I want to know what you all think is the best template to use for Navrey and Slasher in terms of damage output and survivability. I am thinking it is time to pull out my ABC Archer. I'm seeing a lot of sampires try these two and walking out as ghosts when they get webbed by Navrey or frozen by Slasher's howl. What template have you found works best solo or with a small group? What weapon/mods are you using? Thanks all!

I just imbued/enhanced this xbow in my first attempt at Navrey with my ABC archer:

Spider Slayer
HSL 50
HML 37
SSI 40
DI 5 (puts me at 100% DI)

I haven't had the chance yet until now to get out and try for the new arties.

I had the same kinda bow but made a new one with FB instead of stamina leech as you'll never get hit with soo many people there!

Are you using a base bow that is high in fire damage? I don't have a tamer but understand Navrey's lowest resist is fire. And he's getting corpse skinned constantly. I like the idea of SSI, DI, HML, FB, Spider Slayer on a 100% Fire (or close to that) bow.

What about Slasher? His weakest resist is supposedly physical, but he's also getting corpse skinned a lot. I'm getting a lot of garg drops off him. I'm hoping one of them will eventually be a new item. Plus it is a much more fulfilling fight than Navrey and the respawn is fast. Of course Slasher is far more deadly than Navery...

And to confirm, based on the fact that there is always a crowd and that you'll never get an honor off, you all are leaning to archers, right? Thanks!

The only problem with this is that hit spell on a slayer bow will cancel the slayer bonus when it goes off. This is a bug that's been around for years now. You do more damage overall without the hit spell, even though that makes no sense and should have been fixed long before now.

Just tested this with my old bow and my new. IM still hitting for a max of 282 with the FB going off at 12 and my pet doing 48 = 498

without FB on wep im still hitting max of 282 and pet doing 48 but without the 12 from FB
